Even though Tornadoes are destructive. They're simply jaw dropping to observe. Here in this thread you can post, observe or comment on one of nature's most unusual phenomena. This was in my hometown
To this date, this is the best tornado footage I've seen. With the bright white clouds above it, and all the sand it's collecting, it looks incredibly surreal. Why do Tornado's only happen around small town areas and fields?
Why do Tornado's only happen around small town areas and fields?
Lot's of space for it. It's why you won't see a tornado hit..say...Chicago. Too much shit in the way for it.
Why do Tornado's only happen around small town areas and fields?
There's a lot more country than there is city. A tornado hit Fort Worth here in Texas about 10 or 12 years ago. Knocked out tons of windows and billboards, but I don't remember any buildings falling. One formed in Stillwater NY in 1998. Leaped over large hills/mountains and destroyed several furniture stores/neighborhoods. It was ranked an EF-4
Awesome videos. I want to go tornado chasing before I die.
I always get chills when I hear that siren.
They not only affect us physically, but mentally too.
I always get chills when I hear that siren.
You want some scary siren? Here's a video of one of the scariest sounding (in my opinion) sirens designed. The whole test is creepy but the best part comes at 1:55 when they test the siren in the traditional "air raid" sounding mode.
