Most of these guns take a lot of their designs from the Grease and Sten. The idea is that these types of firearms can be built with nothing more then some screws, file, hammer, and drill.
The Serbu design seems like a pretty interesting little burp gun. Weak rounds but with that rate of fire that's probably a blessing since you'd be able to let that thing loose without too much flip.
