This game has become fantastic.

Siege died for me when they started introducing tumblr tier operators.
Siege died for me when they started introducing tumblr tier operators.
yea you probably weren't that much into it if that's all it takes lol
Siege died for me when they started introducing tumblr tier operators.
Does hair dye give you Vietnam flashbacks or some shit
Siege died for me when they started introducing tumblr tier operators.
Imagine being this much of a baby, what does "tumblr tier" even mean? Colored hair?
Imagine being this much of a baby, what does "tumblr tier" even mean? Colored hair?
To be fair, the newer ops have hilariously bad bios. They're like anime characters. But I don't care. The game is good.
Imagine being this much of a baby, what does "tumblr tier" even mean? Colored hair?
Take a gander at Virgin, Zofia and Ela's bios, they're literally deviantart tier Uchiha angst bios lol The 5.11 tactical leggings make for some good excuse for porn though and Dokk's pretty cute tbh [editline]19th January 2018[/editline] Really the only problem with Siege atm is the ridiculous DLC ops grinding and some questionable design choices with the most recent one being Ela's uniquè ability to solo ace the enemy team with just bodyshots.
I think its great that you gotta wait 2 fuckin' years for a ubisoft game to become good. Same shit happened with the Division.
I think its great that you gotta wait 2 fuckin' years for a ubisoft game to become good. Same shit happened with the Division.
Not advocating for this sort of game development behavior, but I rather have that than the devs just sink the ship after the DLC promises are met and rushing a sequel with improvements that could've been easily be patched into the first game. Especially so for Ubi games as they often have cool ideas/concepts, just executed shoddily where the 2 year support is needed to alleviate it.
Who even reads the bios, I didn't even know they existed until people bitched about them. Vigil is fine, Dokkaebi is fine even. Besides Ela's pants, every other DLC operator fits right in to the game. Yes, they have a bit more flare compared to the original guys, but I think it's a welcome addition. This is a video games after all, not a military sim.
Ela and dork and some dumb and impractical designs, ela being the worst. She literally has no plates or mag pouches, wears yoga pants, and has neon bright hair when shes supposed to be apart of a covert ctu. Its just fuckin dumb.
Always nice to see vintage gameplay and watch how far the UI and visuals have progress but damn I like that old Pulse camera. It just needs a bit of smear. Siege is still perfectly approachable today to newbies as long as they get the standard edition, you can get the original roster in no time.
i want to know what went through a designers head when they made zofia arbitrarily take less stun from elas mines ontop of being able to self revive other than "lets make her unique" its just kind of baffling
I wouldn't be surprised if it's some sweaty intern shoving his waifus in. Wow! She trained with her sister!!! Uniqué!!!! Although minor, I still really dislike how they have those passive resistances. I would rather keep the original idea of differentiating ops with their guns and actually unique abilities and not passives. It's an FPS, not a MOBA/RPG for fucks sake.
Game's great, it single handedly cured my dota addiction. Now i'm addicted to siege.
I mean the game incorrectly portrayed the polish GROM. Hardly feels like something polish, especially since you can't get a Jan Pawel II skin on your weapons.
I can understand disliking some of the OC donutsteel operators that have been added recently but one of the starters is a dude who whips out a DP28 on a monopod. Accuracy was out on day 1
I mean the presence of female operators in the game to begin with is unrealistic because female presence in this units is near nonexistent. But it doesn't really matter because its not meant to be a milsim or something. [editline]19th January 2018[/editline] Ohh, and don't forget that thumbhole stocks are literally satan and the worst thing ever. [/s]
That's gameplay tho, not design
It is design, they could've given him some modern MG but they gave him a MG from 1928
That's gameplay tho, not design
how is using a 100 year old gun not theme/design-related
I can understand disliking some of the OC donutsteel operators that have been added recently but one of the starters is a dude who whips out a DP28 on a monopod. He ain't wearing skinny jeans, a sweatshirt, and a Max Landis haircut.
i want to know what went through a designers head when they made zofia arbitrarily take less stun from elas mines ontop of being able to self revive other than "lets make her unique" its just kind of baffling
they probably wanted to experiment with a self-reviving attack op and just tacked it onto zofia to see how it would work out, i'm positive she's the prelude to a medic attacker or something
now that theyre starting to make the lore actually affect gameplay, id say criticizing the bios is now valid zofia has reduced stun time from elas mines because shes her sister, and she can revive herself for no real reason other than "she carried a brazillian boy on her back for 12 hours while dangling over a sinkhole" or some shit none of those things are explained ingame and the only way youd know is by reading the lore or the wiki
Don't forget that Echo is also immune to Dokkaebi's hax because he banged her once on a pan-Asian training exercise or something.
Don't forget that Echo is also immune to Dokkaebi's hax because he banged her once on a pan-Asian training exercise or something.
That was Ying. He's immune to Dok because he doesn't use a cell phone.
Don't forget that Echo is also immune to Dokkaebi's hax because he banged her once on a pan-Asian training exercise or something.
People keep trying to insist the Echo/Dokka thing is something completely out of the bounds of the game but it's not.

The lore is merely there to explain that. Her stun resistance to ela's mines is merely because she uses the exact same type of stun on her grenade launcher - Ela has the exact same trait as a counterpart. [editline]19th January 2018[/editline]
People keep trying to insist the Echo/Dokka thing is something completely out of the bounds of the game but it's not.
Yeah except Echo and Dokka don't have anything to do with each other in the lore and the character Echo actually banged does not do anything different in relation to him and otherwise.
The concussion resistance isn't far fetched, and it's not "because they are sisters lol", it's because they are both trained with concussion grenades. They are not resistant to each other, they are resistant to concussion effect in general. If they add a new conc operator, pretty sure they'll inherit resistance to his gadget.
Sure it ain't 100% tactical realism, but the guy still wears plates, camo, and mag pouches; he still fits in the game. Expecting anything to be even close to the real world is silly.

It would be weird if Zofia could 100% conc Ela and vice verca, since their concs share the exact same status effect.
Siege is a great game but I just wish it didn't have Tom Clancy or Rainbow's name on it because it feels like a whole other game. IMO I think they could've released it as "Siege" or something similar and had the same success and maybe have a lot less arguing about operator designs. Ubisoft could've had a whole new IP from this.
Is really is a shame that we probably won't see any Rainbow 6 singleplayer content for awhile. Would be really cool with it's destruction too.
