Interactive Entertainment. “NetherRealm Studios is offering fans an experience of customizing and battling with DC’s iconic characters in an entirely new way.” Injustice 2 offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title’s larger-than-life showdowns. Every battle defines you in a game where players personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. For the first time gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes. Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City and Atlantis.
http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160608005497/en/Warner-Bros.-Interactive-Entertainment-Announces-Injustice-2
I hope we got a decent PC port this time. I want to give NRS' fighters a proper try but the ports made me lose interest.
More on the Gear Sytem
We are super excited to announce the latest installment of the Injustice franchise, Injustice 2, coming to Playstation 4 in 2017. As the sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, we wanted to come out swinging. We’re doing all of the things you’d expect from a sequel. We’re adding new characters, new environments, and we’re taking environment destruction and interaction to the next level. But we didn’t want to stop there. At NetherRealm, we always want to make games that are fun, challenging and innovative. We strive to give players a level of control that makes playing our games a truly personal experience. For that reason, we have introduced a brand new Gear System, allowing players to build their own version of Superman, their Batman and ultimately, their Injustice Universe. The Gear System uses RPG-like mechanics to reward you with loot drops every time you play the game. With each loot drop, you will earn character-specific gear to outfit and power up your roster – changing not only the look of each character, but your fight strategy and your personal approach to every match. As you gear up your characters, you’re building a roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains that reflects your choices, and your preferences, which can be vastly different than your opponents. A few play sessions in, you can expect your Aquaman to look and play different than anyone else’s Aquaman you may come across. And of course we’re going to continue to tell the epic story of the Injustice Universe. When last we saw them, Superman was imprisoned in a Red Sun prison cell, while Batman was continuing the good fight against the forces that would see Superman’s tyranny back in power. Where do we go from here? And what new characters will join the fight? Of course you’ll have to play the game to find out. And we can’t wait for you to get your hands on this game. We’re excited to see your vision come to life on screen.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/06/08/injustice-2-revealed-coming-to-ps4-in-2017/
Kickass, they announce Atrocitus, Grodd and Supergirl to start. Pretty good so far. Wonder how many of the Batgod's villians will show up this time.
I always like customization in fighting games so the gear system sounds really cool to me. I want to see a demonstration or something, there's probably going to be a trailer just for it if they're announcing it alongside the game.
BTW Bryan Cranston narrating the trailer, sounds like he could be Ra's Al Ghul.
They say that battle changes you. it makes you stronger. More ferocious. A monster in the night. Watching. Learning. Hunting. Each time I entered the pit. I emerged Reborn.(Lazarus pit?) Put the Devil on the other side. & I will showed up, evolved, adapted, & prepared. To fight.
Oh fuck off, the Batman wouldn't be able to take on the fucking FLASH in hand to hand combat.
I hope they bring back my main man Bane.
BTW Bryan Cranston narrating the trailer, sounds like he could be Ra's Al Ghul.
Lex Luthor the irony
I just hope Deathstroke comes back and he's less of a spam character. He's one of my favorite DC characters but maining him makes everyone assume you're a bullet spamming asshole.
Oh fuck off, the Batman wouldn't be able to take on the fucking FLASH in hand to hand combat.
It's the whole thing with Injustice, the first game had them create special pills as a handwave excuse for why they can survive and fight on-par with characters that should easily slaughter them. Although it did lead to Joker getting shot repeatedly only to shrug it off and go, "Thanks happy pill!"

I mained him to death, but I rarely shot at people.
The meta will creep up and everyone will use the same equipment. This whole system is pretty much a complete waste of time and resources.
I never thought people saw him as that. I mained him to death, but I rarely shot at people.
Maybe he got patched since I last played, but some players would just keep jumping away and spamming that pistol attack(I never did this but it was annoying as hell to deal with). Though there were worse spammy characters if I recall correctly. Edit: Could have just been my friend being salty about fighting like a couple people who did this, maybe it's not as common an opinion as I think.
I won't lie the RPG elements and gear stuff makes me more interested

Though that fails to explain how any of them still go toe to toe with the Flash, considering even if he wasn't as strong, he'd still liquefy bats in an instant
The meta will creep up and everyone will use the same equipment. This whole system is pretty much a complete waste of time and resources.
Just like Overwatch hero compositions!
They mainly gave them Kryptonian levels of power. Its silly, but we deal with it.
Just like Overwatch hero compositions!
Even during the rule of king McCree most of the Overwatch heroes see competitive play somewhere. In fighting games it always boils down to a very small pool of picks. Just look at Smash Bros.
Injustice's plot is just an excuse to have DC characters beat eachother up. It's kind of a cool excuse (I like the concept) but it's not something you really play for the story or think about too hard.
just dont think about it [editline]8th June 2016[/editline] at all [editline]8th June 2016[/editline] ever [editline]8th June 2016[/editline] i see you thinking there dont do that
Because Flash in media that is not comics holds back for whatever reason- the events of Injustice could have been easily stopped had Flash been just a teensy bit faster, but was not for whatever reason. If Superman or Flash went all out, most of the cast wouldn't be able to stop them. It's the same arbitrary balancing clause that makes it so Sonic the Hedgehog has to drive in cars for racing games to keep things competitive, except this actually influences the story in the case of Injustice.
I hope they have the entire Teen Titans cast this one, last time they decided to only have Cyborg and Raven (and technically Nightwing).
If Starfire was in it, would they forget to put her in clothes when they introduce her again?
Kinda want to see Alfred. [t]http://i.imgur.com/89SdhKf.jpg[/t] But there's a lot of Batman characters already and [sp]he's dead since we're sticking with the same universe[/sp]

[t]http://i.imgur.com/89SdhKf.jpg[/t] But there's a lot of Batman characters already and [sp]he's dead since we're sticking with the same universe[/sp]
Considering how many people are dead in that universe if Cranston is Ras Al Ghul I expect the Lazarus Pit to solve any problems there may be.
BTW Bryan Cranston narrating the trailer, sounds like he could be Ra's Al Ghul.
Wouldn't be surprised if he's part of the new villain group that rose up now that the Regime is over, or if he's in charge even. And considering the Regime world essentially turned into a place filled with violence because of one really bad day for Superman, he's got more than enough to work with probably.
Also Captain Cold potentially in as well? The fact we're getting Atrocitus, Grorilla Grodd, Ra's(?) and Cold (?) already makes me feel way better about the potential roster not being Batwank
I could honestly see them adding in skins from the CW shows and DC Cinematic Universe. Injustice had the Arrow skin voiced by Stephen Amell, but I would like to see them attempt to get Ben Affleck or Gal Gadot. Dunno about Lex Luthor though.
Coinsidering the girl who played Black Canary in Arrow is doing modelling for a game I assume that'll be the case [t]http://i.imgur.com/7RtLCru.jpg[/t]
is it TRON
