Jerusalem (CNN) -- Officials at the hospital in Israel where former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being treated described him Thursday as being in "extremely critical" and "grave" condition, with his family is by his side.
"In the last few hours there has been a deterioration in Ariel Sharon's medical condition," said a spokesman for Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer. "He continues to be in critical condition."
Earlier this week, the center's director, Zeev Rotstein, had said doctors were unable to stabilize Sharon's kidney function and other vital systems and that the danger to Sharon's life had grown.

He's been a vegetable for about a decade.
What an intelligent use of medical resources.
Sorry he's been in a coma for 8 years and all his organs are failing. Dudes dead just pull the plug.

The majority of doctors in Isreal, unfortunatly, don't even believe in the "brain dead" scenario.

Money not spent in bombings and resettlements.
I swear I thought Sharon died a long time ago.

He basically did, all but legally.

"Money not spent"? Oy, give it to us!
I'm preemptively sick at all the international op-eds that will be honoring the him like some hero despite commanding numerous massacres as an Israeli officer like the unrepentant warcriminal he is, especially when he spearheaded the Unit 101 terror cell.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qibya_massacre one of the massacres after he created and commanded 'Unit 101' intended to strike Palestinian villages by both killing its inhabitants and then leveling them purportedly to strike fear. With Qibya in particular, he terrorized a village in the WB by destroying a school, 45 houses, and a mosque along with killing 89 Palestinians - 2/3rds being women and children.

The UN observer on scene: “One story was repeated time after time: the bullet splintered door, the body sprawled across the threshhold, indicating that the inhabitants had been forced by heavy fire to stay inside until their homes were blown up over them.”
And for his direct assistance to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabra_and_Shatila_massacre by firing illuminating flares at the request of the Phalangists so they could have better vision when massacring 725 to 3,5000 Palestinians.
This is also ignoring his terrorist acts against British civilian targets before Israel was even a state. There are many more atrocities I left out that he carried out as an Israeli general but you already get the point. The guy was a coward and a terrorist that killed more than a thousand Palestinians because as he so put it; to "remove the Palestinian problem" that was later glorified by Israel by propping him up as Prime Minister (not the first Jewish terrorist to be welcomed with arms in Israel's government). Good fucking riddance to his health, I hope he continues to rot.
Don't let the Americans hear you Star...

What a load of crap. His family force the doctors to keep him alive.
I wish the funds used to keep this turnip alive would've been used elsewhere.

I'm also getting tired of how the national community seems to be turning a blind eye on the things going on in Israel. This apologetism needs to stop. We get it that the Jews also suffered a lot, but they start to behave more like Nazis.

I absolutely despise the Israeli regime but comparing it to the Nazi one is a bit ridiculous.
Good
Why are there people saying we should just pull the plug? Isn't that his families choice?
Why doesn't Israel just pull the plug on this brain-dead terrorist?

Beyond a certain point at least here it isn't.
