She could have mentioned that [B]some[/B] Halal butchery is inhumane because they do not electrically stun / knock out the animal before slicing, therefore the animal dies in pain. But most, if not a lot, of Halal practices do stun their animals; some Muslims think this goes against teaching and will eat [I]"non-stunned"[/I] meat. This is a huge debate though, as it's well discussed if stun animals can feel pain or not, and what are other alternatives to painless slaughter [I](if there is one)[/I]. Animals across the world have always been slaughtered the [I]"Halal"[/I] way i.e - slicing the throat to drain the blood; Muslims just do this in a more religious way. You guys should check out Italian families and other European rural folk slaughtering their animals, you won't see stunning. It's commanded that Halal animals are not to be mistreated or be caused pain and given enough space, water, food, fresh air etc - for what it's worth. Slicing the throat is always a quick death regardless.

In fact, that made it worse. And whilst 3000 is pretty nasty, in a country of almost 70 million it's hardly like we're going to be overrun any time soon. The absolute [I]worst[/I] it could get is frequent terrorist attacks on the same scale as in Northern Ireland back in the 70s, but considering the amount of measures the government currently has in trying to prevent terrorism (as opposed to just trying to restrict Muslims as much as possible), that's highly unlikely.
