The application is pretty weird, but the tech is awesome. Imagine what you could do with it... I'm thinking telepresence, or maybe even first person AR games.
Finally you pathetic 2D mortals did something useful! Now i can finally meet my precious waifu, I can't wait to tell my friends on /a/ about this!!!
Should have done it with monsters from Amnesia.
So now we have the technology...
To abuse girls that aren't real with our hands?
Okay then.

Imagine people just running around with those glasses in a park, shooting each other with imaginary guns only shown in their display :v:
I'll have to show my weeaboo coworker this video later
he's all kinds of obsessed with hatsune miku it's weird as fuck
like if this becomes available in the states I can totally see him coming to work on his off days wearing this shit to see a movie with her

I wanted to ask a question on /a/ one day and the first thread was loli. I was sadly mistaken about what /a/ really is.
Haha someone's gonna strap their Playstation vita to their face or something.
Oh I just KNEW you would be able to lift her skirt up against her will.
Sobotnik's going to love this
Think of the possibilities of AR, guys! We can go on virtual vacations and make HUDs for soldiers an- oh okay, e-girlfriends for sad nerds
Imagine hacking it and changing someones date to a giant tenticle monster, they would shit themselves

I don't think people who were using this in the first place would mind....
Give me Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star or Kinnikuman to hang out with, I think of Miku as just a holographic target.
i still dont understand what hatsune miku even is

Has enough money and tech to solve so many world problems.
Uses it for virtual dating.

Future gaming.

To be fair, it is an easy concept to make a program around and allows for AI development as well. Much easier than trying to do a virtual reality conference room straight off.
That aside, while I like Hatsune Miku (like, music with her avatar in it), this kind of pushes it :v:

Well if there's one thing I remember from Serial Experiments Lain, it's that part.
Doesn't he fall into a ditch and get horribly lost or something?
I was going to rate heart for being depressing, but then it turned creepy.
Reminds me of this:

The "music" is less creepy in this version than in the original version.
When even a virtual reality girl designed to be your personal plaything looks at you like you're a creep, you know you have problems.
That's actually really freaking cool. I mean aside from the whole Hatsune part. Imagine augmented reality horror games while walking home at night, that would be fucking awesome.

I don't know, that'd either not work very well or it'd be way too scary. like, you still have to put the game in and wear the glasses, you'd probably be prepared by the time anything happened. on the other hand, getting attacked on the way home could lead to players getting a heart-attack, or at the least getting very, very startled.
it just sounds kind of gimmicky to me, like a Kinect only it's intended that you walk around constantly playing it.
