The problem with that is, since it's users posting the news, and different sources can have different dates, it might be hard to implement it I'd think. The reason the News Node can do that is because they're all bots. Sometimes someone posts news from years ago without reading the date of the news.
Well it could be a rule that the date is put at the start of the post.

No, then dumb uninteresting news will dumb down the interesting and important news, thus less people will have discussions. It's a forum, not a news site.
Only thing that needs to be changed is that we need to get rid of the "other" news forum. We've had some threads accidentally moved to there when they should be moved to "In the News". [url]http://www.facepunch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=101[/url]
I think it is fine the way it is.
I have no problem with the news as is.
