A Somali-American on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists list has been captured, Somali intelligence officials said Tuesday.
Liban Haji Mohamed was arrested as he traveled from an area controlled by terror group Al-Shabaab in southern Somalia.
The one-time cabdriver in northern Virginia is being held and interrogated by Somali officials.
Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency did not say when Mohamed was captured but said the suspect had been under surveillance for several days.
I'm impressed at how far Somalia's come. To go from where it was in the 90s and early 00s to functioning security/intelligence agencies, police forces (albiet probably as bad as the DRC - but still), something resembling a government is excellent.
Yay
That's always good, one less dirtbag out there.
Just wondering, related to FBI most wanted's, Are the rewards on FBI most wanted real? Or do you get fucked over by government as usual?
Your info was nearly perfect, so we are giving you 750k,
Deduct taxes: 600k left, deduct fess, deduct shit, deduct etc... and you end up with 5 dollars.
I am really curious about this, I mean on most wanted list the rewards are pretty big, I wonder how much of that person actually gets.

I feel like capturing or killing a shitbag or two for the government should be tax-free, yeah?

Depends on the gig. FBI list? You get every last dollar. Normal cases like bondsman though you have to pay a certain amount of cash for the bail or something along those lines.

that wasn't what he was asking
he was asking about taxes
(yes, from what i can tell, you do have to pay taxes on that)

That's why I mentioned, "You get every last dollar" the process is pretty long winded, but if you do it, you get paid.
Last time someone got paid was some Filipino guy, and he was paid upfront with all of it.

I doubt in the end you get only a little bit of cash. Even after all the tax bullshit, that's a substantial amount of money.

The country hasn't been sucked back into the government just yet, it's still going to take sometime because the war will rage on. But you can mostly thank the Ugandan Forces along with the African Union and European Union for supplying vital weapons.
Vice (? - i think it was them) did a story on how Uganda's Defence Force working under AU's control were making major victories in helping Somalia get back on its feet
