This is a game being made by developers from the mods Zombie Panic: Source, No More Room in Hell and 1187 and so far it looks like it has huge potential

Looking good, kinda looks like what I thought No More Room in Hell was going to be if the devs weren't so slow to implement features.
(though I haven't played it in a while so I don't really know it they've improved it since the first release)
I dont know anything about this game so im just going to guess
Is it like DayZ but better, and when you get bitten you become a zombie?
And the game ends when all players are either dead or zombies, and the winner is the person who is the last man standing?

What exactly makes you think this is remotely similair to DayZ
Looks like it has evolved to become something more than just ZPS with better graphics. Which is great.
I met these guys at GDC 2011 and it basically looks like it's gone nowhere in the past two years. It was a cool idea few years ago but now that L4d2 has come out, and dead rising is still going, and Dayz is out it's sort of weird. They have to really compete at that bigger level, and I doubt they can do it with the size of their current team and the Left 4 dead 2 engine branch.

You're kinda comparing apples to oranges. This game will most likely not play anything like those games and also hint they're an indie game developer not some big company with lots of money at their disposal. Though I have to say that the game hardly looks impressive other than the ai. The game has a strong NMRIH vibe to it.
Them being indie is exactly why I said what I said. You need to provide something that isn't already out there. However it's more of a problem that they're just really late to the show, and there are a ton of zombie games out there that are doing what they initially set out to do at a much better level.

Zombie Panic Source is the reason I got into steam.
Like? Besides Left 4 Dead no zombie game comes to mind that did co-op right.
I loved Zombie Panic Source so much. I instantly thought of it when I saw the video. Good to see them doing something with this!
Although, I think the age of the source mod is now over with Steam Greenlight and these indie developers able to get their "mods" or "games" out to the public. It's cool but it hurts my wallet.
if you join their steam group they're going to give out full free copies of the game to random people between the 10th and 12th.

It looks like a spiffier ZPS which is a-okay in my book. ZPS is nothing like L4D.
I was expecting a video game version of the 2011 movie. :(

it still looks nothing like L4D, dead rising or Dayz
just because it has zombies in it doesn't mean its automatically like every other zombie game.

It is a completely different game. Just because it has zombies doesn't make it like DayZ.
Well I hope it does well, I love zombie games even though everyone seems to be getting sick of them.
I too still love zombie games, i just can't stand the DayZ kind off game where you do nothing most off the time and have no real goal.

PVP and Survival elements don't make it like Dayz. Furthermore, I very much doubt this is open world, especially since its on the source engine. Dayz also has absolutely no fortification system.
DayZ is a bare bones experimental game where the entire point is to gather loot from nothing, die and start again. This is obviously a full featured game that has nothing to do with looting from nothing across a vast open world.
I know this is Alpha, but it looks boring as hell.

Did you watch the video? at the end a helicopter comes down, unless it was dropping off supplies or something.
The trailer gave off a sort of hunger games feel, where the game is in a small town and you have to be the last survivor, or perhaps get on a heli that lands randomly on the map.

I never intended to say it is like DayZ.
There is 3 gamemodes , basicly escape, last man standing and rescue.
Isn't 1187 that mod that people were kind of.. let's say angry about?
