But Mista became concerned when the baby woke in tears after his mother and nanny were tied up. Kojek told Indonesian reporters that he and his accomplices broke into the house in the early hours of the morning by climbing over a wall. "The housemaid woke up, so I covered her mouth and then bound her arms and legs. I stuck the duct tape on her mouth" he said. "There were two housemaids, but the other one didn't awake, so we let her be." Mrs Lewa, who owns the house, woke to see the criminals in her room. She screamed, had a gun pointed at her and was tied up, and the commotion woke her baby boy. At a police press conference in Jakarta, Mista, who faces ten years in jail, said: "I asked his mother how to make him stop crying. She said he had to be fed with milk. I gave it to the baby while cradling him. Not long after, the baby fell asleep so I put him in bed. I have a kid, so I know how to cradle a baby." The gang escaped with items worth $5000, but four were later arrested and one was shot dead by police.
Link:http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/lifestyle/parenting/armed-robber-stops-to-feed-crying-baby/story-fni0do7d-1226684804614
Sounds like pretty responsible thieves, it's a shame one was killed.
Sounds like pretty responsible thieves, it's a shame one was killed.
I'm not sure breaking into a house with guns to steal $5000 worth of items counts as 'responsible', no matter how many babies you cradle on the way.
Criminals are people too.
A nice thought I suppose, but I can't imagine she was too keen on having her baby cradled and fed by a robber.
A nice thought I suppose, but I can't imagine she was too keen on having her baby cradled and fed by a robber.
Considering the circumstances it's better then the other possible alternatives. The fellow even asked her.
I wonder what the mother thinks about the whole situation. "W-Well, at least he fed him, h-heheh...."
one was shot dead by police.
Why?
as soon as a criminal shows morality facepunch sees them as a hero stay classy
Why?
Op says at least one of them had a gun. If you start waving it around after cops tell you to drop it they'll shoot your ass.
I'm not sure breaking into a house with guns to steal $5000 worth of items counts as 'responsible', no matter how many babies you cradle on the way.
you should be sure, because it isn't. I meant to say they were responsible as far as thieves go. They could have been far more destructive, could have raped/killed one or all 3 women. They didn't tie one up because she was asleep. Fuck sake i'm sure some thieves would just bludgeon the baby to death in a panic. Considering how absolutely fucking awful some robberies go, i'd say these dude are pretty responsible.
