They really should be. People underestimate the capabilities of fire, and these guys charge head first into most situations to help pets, humans, and sometimes even valuable objects.

Okay, I'm exaggerating about that, but they're still not going to get much even for this. I feel for the guys though, firefighters are the top underpaid job. But are true heroes.

Firefighters, like policemen, don't do their work for the money (usually). They do it either for the honor it brings or to show the honor they already have. Mad respect to both of them.
