Israeli diplomat caught on camera plotting to 'take down' UK MPs
An Israeli embassy official has been caught on camera in an undercover sting plotting to “take down” MPs regarded as hostile, including foreign office minister Sir Alan Duncan, an outspoken supporter of a Palestinian state.
In an extraordinary breach of diplomatic protocol, Shai Masot, who describes himself as an officer in the Israel Defence Forces and is serving as a senior political officer at the London embassy, was recorded by an undercover reporter from al-Jazeera’s investigative unit speaking about a number of British MPs.
The Israeli ambassador, Mark Regev, apologised to Duncan on Friday. An Israeli spokesman said Regev made clear that “the embassy considered the remarks completely "unacceptable”.
The Israeli embassy said Masot “will be ending his term of employment with the embassy shortly”. Masot declined to comment or to elaborate on what he meant when he said he wanted to “take down” a number of MPs.
this is normal spycraft, it's not right to do but everyone does it
Why am I not surprised that MadPro119 has the anti-Semitic triple parentheses shit installed to his browser?

It's not anti-Semitic it's just alt-right garbage.

If you want to see a real anti-semetic plugin, check out some of the shit that /pol/ has made, like the thing that approximates the degrees of freedom to which the % chance someone is jewish based off of their name.
This is just something that ensures the consumers of it never need to step outside the thought processes they are ingrained in.

a way to mark someone as a Jew for negative purposes isn't anti semitic now?

I'm pointing out that it being alt right garbage doesn't mean that it's not also anti-semitic, it can be both.
I'm pointing out that it being alt right garbage doesn't mean that it's not also anti-semitic, it can be both.
No you're not, you said
a way to mark someone as a Jew for negative purposes isn't anti semitic now?
which was obviously referring to
check out some of the shit that /pol/ has made, like the thing that approximates the degrees of freedom to which the % chance someone is jewish based off of their name.
which I clearly stated
1.) was anti-semetic
2.) was not the same plugin
I was referring to ((()))
I wish we could buy titles for people still. I've so many perfect ones for MadPro now that we've caught him pants-down.
what an impressive level of fuckup
I was referring to ((()))
Then what was
a way to mark someone as a Jew for negative purposes isn't anti semitic now?
about? The ((())) (as far as I am aware) does not do this at all. I would assume that it changes "israel" to "(((our greatest ally)))", but this does not mark anyone as a jew for negative purposes.
The other plugin does. Smells like backpedaling / bold faced lying.
But yeah madpro if you're gonna have that crap hooked into your browser you should probably sanitize your outputs or something.
It's not anti-Semitic it's just alt-right garbage.
And I suppose the right-facing swastika angled at 45 degrees in a white circle on a red flag isn't a symbol for Nazism?
I think he was being ironic and doesn't actually have that plugin installed but that excuses nothing.
So what does any of this have to do with the topic at hand?

The fact he edited it out suggests otherwise
What does ((())) mean? Going from context it is supposed to be anti-semitic? What if I use them in mathematics? Are mathematics now anti-semitic?
Why are these people being hired in the first place. Even though I know Israels government has been in a bad place for over decade now.

((())) is a way for people to mark Jews and people affliated with Jews.
Mic has a good exposé on the origins of the cowbell: Known to alt-right activists as an “echo,” the symbol sprang from a hardcore conservative podcast named the Daily Shoah. The Shoah “featured a segment called ‘Merchant Minute’ that gave Jewish names a cartoonish ‘echo’ sound effect when uttered,” Cooper Fleishman and Anthony Smith explain. When they reached out to the podcast editors for more information, they were told that the meme also functioned as a critique of “Jewish power”:
"The inner parenthesis represent the Jews' subversion of the home [and] destruction of the family through mass-media degeneracy. The next [parenthesis] represents the destruction of the nation through mass immigration, and the outer [parenthesis] represents international Jewry and world Zionism."

avoid slate's painting of all trump supporters as using ((())), it's silly
What does ((())) mean? Going from context it is supposed to be anti-semitic? What if I use them in mathematics? Are mathematics now anti-semitic?
it's a stupid /pol/ meme that people for some reason have decided to latch onto and completely derail this thread over
iirc its just surrounding the names of jewish people/entities in triple parenthesis because... because
((())) is a way for people to mark Jews and people affliated with Jews.

What if I only want to represent the destruction of families and nations but not the other point? Does (()) work? How do you know which points are meant? What if I want to add another point like Jews did 9/11? (((())))?

What are you doing
Let's not fill an entire page with discussion about brackets.
boy howdy was this sure a goof up on mr. diplomat's part, what a knucklehead
After watching the video, I would assume it's a joke. A joke in poor taste considering his position, but a joke.
Of course, because it is about Israel, it's going to bring everyone out of the woodwork.

And trust that it's from the shitrag that is Al-Jazeera.
Lmao MadPro got the direction of his thread completely derailed due to the fact he was caught off guard being a fucking childish asshole, I'll make sure to never take him seriously again
A whole load of nothing. As if other countries don't want to lessen the power government politicians that are against them.
Unless you're stupid and take "taking down" as literal, like they're gonna send the Mossad to assassinate them or something equally absurd like that.
Also, it's Al-Jazeera, being unbiased isn't one of their strong suits.

You kidding? Al-Jazeera is one of the world's best news sources - they only have issues when it comes to reporting on the government of Qatar, their home state.
