Here's some old gold: A short film from 2004, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Downey Jr. and...

Saw the ending coming. Still a nice short film though.
funny thing is, this was actually meant to be an advertisement for the car.

Really? I couldn't tell by the big "Volvo Presents" text less than 1 second into the video.
I don't get it.
That was surprisingly cool for a car commercial.
Damn this is some quantum mechanical time paradox shit. Took me a while to wrap my head around it.
That was pretty good, but the ending was ultimately unsatisfying... what happened to him after he left? Surely for the loop to continue he'd need to come back and start all over again.

all the guys he runs into do inevitably escape, or else they either couldn't be the same person or the main guy wouldn't have found Confidence. if they all escape and the loop's still going, then it can't possibly be necessary that the duplicates stick around after they find Confidence.
get it?
he is one smooth, sexy mother fucker. best choice of actor for this. clever film, too
Awesome!
Did they ever explain the second bag in the Volvo?

The guy left the bag in the car after his depressed self stole the water bottle.

at least one of them can't ever find confidence because they'll never find another Downey
I LOVE time loops.
Doesn't look like Robert Downy Jr.

Car commercials are awesome.

The thing is it doesn't seem like an actual "time loop", there aren't multiple Downeys, they are all the same Downey at a different point in the sequence, it's not a true loop because it has a beginning and end but the path folds back on itself multiple times during the sequence. Prepare yourselves 'cause I'm breaking out the flow chart:

Huh, so the car was never created, and it will last forever, it just keeps going forward and backwards in time. Maybe a hidden message about its reliability? :v:
Reminds me of Timesplitters

The film's almost a decade old so it's no wonder.
too much robert downey junior for my tastes
Well that was quite intricate for a car commercial.

Don't worry, if Tony Stark was confused by it, you have all the rights to be too.

Nah, it's just another him that arrives and follows his steps, rinse and repeat. Just think of it as a line in time and not a closed circle, once your present version has passed this point (left the town), then the closest past you will enter the town and so it repeats.
Reminds me of the twilight zone
he is one smooth, sexy mother fucker. best choice of actor for this. clever film, too
It's either him or robert downey jr. from 5 minutes ago. Tough choice but robert downey jr. had five minutes more of life experience.
