Lucas Gruenther was found in the Adriatic Sea this afternoon. A compassionate husband, a loving son, and a devoted brother; Luc leaves behind a family who loves him dearly and a legacy of achievement. We will never fully recover from our loss, but take heart in the knowledge that during his all-too-short time in this world, he made a significant difference in the lives of all whom he met. "We would like to thank the people around the world for your messages and your prayers. We especially want to extend our deepest gratitude to the many people who volunteered their time and resources to help bring Luc home."
http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123334599 http://www.aviano.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123334566 CBS Source:
The family of Capt. The death of a serviceman in the line of duty is always a tragedy. I'm surprised they didn't have a more recent picture of him, though. The the pic is from his third year at the USAF Academy, probably about 8-10 years old at this point.
shame he couldn't eject in time... RIP

Is it just me, or did anyone else think "Damn, look at that sucker's teeth!"?

Of course, I don't condone picking out anyone's flaws in appearance.

He used to be stationed in the military base ( Sheppard ) at my city, Wichita Falls. I saw him in the paper earlier today, was odd seeing him again on here.
