A jury has ruled that a 16-year-old boy charged with killing his great-grandmother with a 35-inch Samurai sword is competent to stand trial in Georgia.
It took the Douglas County jury 30 minutes to come to their final decision over Gevin Prince on Wednesday who has been charged as an adult in the 2011 stabbing death outside his Douglasville home.
On August 15 the teen's great-grandmother 77-year-old Mary Joan Gibbs was found dead outside her home after what police said was a fight over her telling him to stop playing video games.[/quote]

I don't think it's entirely sheltered to swing a sword at someone/thing. Kids play that sort of game all the time (well, kids I remember, me and my friends used to play Pirates and Knights and whatnot), but it's imagination and make-believe games.
Fighting is something that pretty much grows in society, be it verbal or physical as a social thing, be it calling each other names or rough-housing between friends.
In today's society, I wouldn't think that it is that uncommon for someone to swing a weapon at another person, whether the intent be harm or not.
(I think that is the sort of thing Judas was referring to?)
