I felt it needed to be done so I did it

So, in addition to whatever tutorial you followed to make your logo, I guess this is the only kind of editing you know how to do. Just because you can make "x gets hit by y" videos times a million, doesn't mean you should.

Removing an object from a moving scene, color correcting, applying textures to objects, animated warping, and general composting and animating are all the things I used in that video not including the logo. There are so many details you dismiss as nothing because you don't edit yourself, and the portion of effects goes by so quick. however, if the little details were not there then the video would look pretty bad.
Now I like hitting things with buses and I will continue to do so. maybe not soon seeing that I just did 2 in a row, but eventually, and I hope you spare me your ignorance the next time I release such a video. thanks.
Whoah, Cool Junk productions? INSTA-SUBSCRIBE!
I can see the next thread already "Bus gets hit by bus"

Sorry, it's really not that complicated, even with the little details it does look pretty bad. If you honestly care about learning vfx you should know that you don't start with all this video copilot high end blockbuster shit because it turns out like that. you don't have the basic skills to make any of the elements needed for something like that, so don't try until you master the basics.
also you're not a production company, it just looks silly having productions under your name.
The only thing cool you posted was the jesus chatline show things, nowadays you post shit

This gif could have required photoshop cs6, an incredibly expensive program, and several years of animation skills. During the production, 7 art designers could be called in to evaluate the lighting and art direction. It could also have a "fancy"(see: generic tutorial) intro and logo, and there could be a load of details in the background.
None of it would matter.

It would still be a fucking ragdoll spazzing out.

So how about the next time you want to make a x gets hit by y, you smash them together in garrysmod and laugh at it, instead of making it a video.

because I thought people would want to see that bitch getting plowed by a bus out of fucking nowhere but apparently everyone just wants to hop on the hate bandwagon and tell me what I know about vfx.
I can think of someone else who should get hit by a bus.
totally not you op

wow
You honestly did not do half of what you said.
I know exactly what you did, seeing as the original came out yesterday, you took a side picture of a bus, cropped it then threw on a blur effect on it in photoshop. You then took the picture and overlayed it on the video and had two frames of it going right to left, while still in photoshop.
You then added a blood splatter and sound effect.

the only thing I used photoshop for was to remove the background from the bus and apply a texture. I used after effects for the rest.
I don't know why it's so hard to believe that there's a lot of complicated shit that went into the video. just because it looks simple doesnt mean the work was. Now stop assuming shit because you really don't know everything.

The video was completely shit. Get over it.
i can use photoshop to make a bus look like a penis but that doesn't mean I'm going to and I'm not going to pretend I'd use anything but the liquify tool
like dude all of this could have been avoided if you'd just stop lying and admitted you followed some tutorial online because you're bored

I might to complicated movements to take a dump.
But no matter how much effort you put into it, a shit is a shit.
Thank god.

1. Keep making videos so you improve your skills. Cool that you're doing things and applying all those effects, I do believe that you actually used them. You just didn't make them very noticable.
2. Don't post anything on Facepunch until you're absolutely sure that what you've created is actually a standalone project rather than a short animation based on an arbitrary little idea.
Rule of thumb, Facepunch has high standards so you can't just post things that are somewhat like tests. And another rule of thumb, don't start acting aggressive towards people if they tell you your thing is shit. Facepunch can be punishing when you step wrong, that's another thing about Facepunch you just need to deal with. Aren't there like, animation / after effects forums where you can post this and get much better feedback?
(my advice comes solely from observing threads in the past, so, *shrug*)

All of the things you listed are what most editors can do in their sleep.
Effort does not equal substance.

Thank you, but I'm only acting aggressive towards people who tell me how I made my video and accuse me of lying. I have no problem with people who criticize my work even if they think it's shit. I would hope they would say WHY they don't like it but I'm not going to get angry if they don't.
And I like posting here as apposed to video editing forums because I don't make stuff just for a just a review. Only one comment on here seems to get the purpose of the video. it's supposed to make you satisfied. You may not have thought this while watching the original video with the landlord, but I'm sure if a bus actually came crashing through there and plowing the shit out of her, you would feel very satisfied. That's why I made the video. to simulate that. and it may not look real, but what do you expect? you try to do better. you try to find an experienced editor willing to spend 5 hours to edit that shaky cam, ugly fucking lady video.
however, I mostly regret posting this video here because no one seems to give a shit enough to give a real critique. all they can say is that it's dumb.
And I know that a lot of effort does not make a video good. I don't think that at all. I'm just telling people who think that this was lazily thrown together that it was not.

If you're looking for actual feedback, head to the creationism corner. The whole point there is for people to work together to benefit each other.
This section is nearly pure entertainment purposes and discussion, next to no one goes to this section to give advice besides a few rare people.

But I hardly made this for a critique. thee main purpose is for entertainment.
But I hardly made this for a critique. thee main purpose is for entertainment.
Then why didn't you say that instead of throwing a fit when people called you out
But I hardly made this for a critique. thee main purpose is for entertainment.
these bus videos are not funny or entertaining sorry
But I hardly made this for a critique. thee main purpose is for entertainment.
Then you failed.

I don't know what goes on in your head but from viewing this section almost daily, that kind of humor isn't really enjoyed by many, and to be honest, it's childish. Most people don't even re-imagine an event with people being killed and blood spurting out for satisfaction.
because I thought people would want to see that bitch getting plowed by a bus out of fucking nowhere but apparently everyone just wants to hop on the hate bandwagon and tell me what I know about vfx.
Nobody wanted it and nobody found it funny it was stupid
I could do the same thing and it'd take me 3 minutes (stock footage included)
Just shut up and forget about it, delete the video or make it better because right now all I see is you crying over people giving you the hard truth about your work
I don't know if it applies here, but I always hate it when the OP asks for constructive criticism yet when they do give the OP constructive criticism, the OP gets bitchy and throws a fit.
I don't know if it applies here, but I always hate it when the OP asks for constructive criticism yet when they do give the OP constructive criticism, the OP gets bitchy and throws a fit.
When I said no one had given constructive criticism, there really was none. saying something is shit or dumb or even telling me how I went about making it is not constructive. give me an example of constructive criticism in a comment before the one I made saying that no one had given any.
And I only get bitchy when people lie. the majority of what everyone has been saying is a lie. and no fruxodaily, you could not make that in 3 minutes. And Ninja Duck, it's not about being funny, it's about sending a message, and hardly anyone seems to have got it.
