I feel as if I'm friendless as though I am surrounded by friendliness pretty much every day. All the time at school, people are like "HEY MAN! HOW'S IT GOING?" and I say, "Pretty good, how about you?" and we chat for a few minutes and continue on with the day. Sometimes when I'm hanging around not really doing anything, people invite me places, and I go. I meet new people, have new experiences and overall it's a great time, we're social, catching up and all that, discussing our hobbies, classes, interests and the such. But every once in a while when I come home and ask myself the question, what's the point? There was no bonding occuring there, we probably won't be able to go on a speaking basis in the years to come. Eventually we will forget each others names while embarking on life's journey.
It might be associated with the population density of where I live. There's over 2 million people who live in my city alone. There's 4,000 people who go to my school. You know, like, I can't become friends with all of them but I guess I can make good friends with 7 or 8. But there are so many distractions; so many clubs, after school activities, and other people that get in the way of bonding and those I once knew so well eventually slip away. My best friend since 1st grade moved away last year, it's now awkward when we talk, and it sucks, because we had such good times together but we can't anymore. He's gone.
...I shouldn't be complaining about the lack of bonding too much, a lot of people have great lasting friendships that last until death. But are those really friendships? Old couples always argue at each other all the time and I don't know if this is an urban legend or not but someone said that 50% of marriages fail, one way or the other. Maybe not by divorce, but sometimes husbands kill their wives or they never really get along. And most teenagers are embarrased by their parents. Well, I guess that's mostly crap on TV. I guess the only people you really stick with are your parents and family.
And I don't remember who said this, but quality decreases over time. Everything. That BMW that your grandma had for 16 years doesn't run nearly as well as it did when it was first bought. That 2 week old jug of milk in the fridge doesn't taste as nearly as well as it did when you first poured a bowl of cereal with it. You always hear people complaining about how the music today sucks. Same thing goes with life, I guess. When you're 2, everything is new and exciting. When you're 13, a lot of things aren't as new from when you were 2. You know that the spoon isn't an airplane and your mouth isn't a landing strip. And you have to sit and work for 45 minutes a day, and it keeps increasing. You get into college, and eventually get a job, which lasts sometimes for 60 hours a week. I guess the only time when the quality of life stops decreasing is when you find love, make a new friend, discover something new or discover drugs. Love eventually dies away and even old married couples are bored with each other. Same thing applies with new things. You don't play your old PS1 anymore, except maybe once every few years for nostalgic reasons, but it's put away to be forgotten eventually. Sometimes people move up from weed onto harder drugs like meth and they screw up their futures.
I guess it's not all bad though, you lose a friend, you gain a friend, it's all a nice cycle and the world keeps on spinning I guess....
Anyway, I just felt like I had to get this off my chest, it's kind of a biased view on life, life is good, so don't hold me against it. And also, you just lost the game. :)
The population density of your city has nothing to do with anything, you just haven't found a true friend yet. A good friend won't...erm...wear out like an old BMW? :raise:

The Internet hates you FYI.
Try going to a school with 85 people in it, I know like 3 people who aren't douches, and even them I hardly know.
:crying: I'm so lonely :(

Good for you, your in transformers what are you a guy mowing his lawn? because thats the big deal right...
Your life sounds fine, stop QQing. Compare it to mine, hardly any of my friends give two shits about me. I never get invited anywhere, nobody ever accepts my offers to hang out, nobody seems interested in being my friend at all..

Join the Losers Club, be lonely together!
Social outcasts unite!
After D&D, that is.
You should be happy you have some positive social contact.
:crying:
op is deep
Masturbate and cry.
Looks like you're 13. A lot of people your age have these kinds of feelings.
Also, don't get all sad and isolate the people you know because eventually they won't bother talking to you anymore.
OP made me sad. :[
Good read
Very good read
I'm sixteen and I have these feelings, though I love my friends
I was going to ask how you could possibly not have any friends at all in school then I remembered that this is Facepunch where all of the children are socially awkward and inept at making extended conversation.
Get a girlfriend bro. feel lonely after that.

Baaawwwwwwwwww.
But I hate loneliness
OP is depressed.
Now that everyone has left and gone to uni I feel as if I'm stagnating, doing the same thing day in day out with the same people.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change them for the world, I love them, they're my boys, but a bit of variety every so often is nice.
