David Goyer has been confirmed as writing the new Superman movie, which will be titled “The Man of Steel”. A new Superman film, rumored to be a “reboot” of the franchise based on the popular DC Comics character, has been in talks since 2006’s “Superman Returns” starring Brandon Routhe and directed by Bryan Singer (neither of whom will be returning to the franchise). Goyer, who has also worked on the “Blade” movies and the “Demonic Toys” and “Puppetmaster” franchises, is also attached to assist with the story to the third Christopher Nolan “Batman” movie. Stay tuned to Shockya.com for more on “The Man Of Steel”.
http://www.shockya.com/news/2010/02/25/david-goyer-writing-the-man-of-steel/ Interesting.....hopefully, it would be better than returns.
Superman Returns was real bad. Don't think this'll be much better.
I liked the effects in the beggining. The rest is bullshit shitty shit. [editline]10:19PM[/editline] Wait a second. Why do Metacritic rated it 72? :argh: also never saw a supernova close thing. thats why i like it.
when i first watched it i thought it was cool then after watching the second time im like wtf is this shit.
aw man. bryan singer is better than david goyer! oh well. i hope this doesnt end up blowing weiners
Meh, wasn't interested in superman much to be honest.
Agreed with R4iden. I'm more partial to Batman.
posers like batman real comic book fans like superman
Fucking hate it when they do these.
Fucking hate it when they do these.
do what
Superman Returns was horrible, but I have a strong feeling this new one will be a bit better.
do what
Make these films. Its annoying
superman is hard to do in movies because like how do you make him fallible? his moral compass is just too damn...good. thats why you put him in situations where he cant save everyone, or see that behind his facade of being super ultra moral, hes got a turbulent soul cause i think superman is just that. a troubled soul who has to put on a mask of goodness

Really means alot.
Thanks man. Really means alot.
hey no problem bro i know what problems face the man of steel
I enjoyed your analyzation of it. It was very insightful.
The last batman movies: -Batman Begins -The Dark Knight The last superman movies -Superman Returns -The Man of Steel Names are a bit same, so if karma exists, like The Dark Knight beats Begins, The Man Of Steel will beat Returns. So karma says it will be a good movie
But the difference is Batman Begins wasn't that bad.
it was pretty bad
You'll never beat it.
the only upcoming DC movie i care about is green lantern
it was pretty bad
i thought most people like batman begins. i know i did
it was an okay movie, not a good batman movie
it was pretty bad
No it wasn't, it was fucking great. I should point out here that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are the only to comic movies that were treated with across the board critical acclaim, and stand on their own as "films", not "comic flicks". [editline]07:01PM[/editline] Anyway, superman is a shit character. Honestly, he's a fucking boring in every way possible. And his near invincibility and ridiculous super powers make for sooo many plot holes. And he's 100% across the board "good". His moral compass never wavers, which makes, again, a boring character. Batman on the other hand, is an interesting character. He has borderline psychological problems, he has no superpowers, he is a man, he is fallible and Batman is always walking a fine line between doing good and killing a motherfucker.
Please no.

Gah I can't. Superman is an alien with the powers of a god but the morals of a man, how does a guy deal with that kind of responsibility? Batman is a 30 year old crybaby in a batcostume whos utterly perfect at everything because of "lolninjatraining". I'm tired of the thousands of grimdark "my parents are deeeeeeeeeead" anti-heroes. Superman is a hero. Batman is, well pretty ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I enjoy seeing the stupid shit he comes up with (its why I enjoy the flash too) but hes just sorta, laughable now. (going by the comics and not the Nolan movies, I'm not sure if you even read comics)
You should really mention that Chris Nolan and his brother is tied to this project. That way it will rock.

THATS why superman is an interesting character.
Superman is a boring superhero with a boring name and boring superpowers and boring villains. Batman's less about superpowers vs superpowers than it is putting a realistic costumed vigilante in a crime drama. [editline]06:40PM[/editline] Hell the only Superman villains I even liked were Lex Luthor and Doomsday
batmans a whiny bitch and a sociopath. supermans a paragon of justice, something to look up to. he is the ideal.
