However, there was anger over the RCMP and them basically attempting to dictate firearms law without asking parliament, and loosening of gun control was on the horizon. Then this happens, and while I'm confident the Conservatives won't tighten gun control, since they didn't after Dawson College, the Eaton Centre, that shooting of 4 RCMP in Alberta, or the shoot-out at a Toronto street party, any chance of gun control being loosened just went out the window. That, and the other parties will just add this to their list of tragedies to bring up when pushing for tighter gun control. It's rather sad when politicians use a tragedy like this to push their agendas.

I hope they deal with this guy before he hurts or kills any more officers.
