what did you feel about the new Sherlock Holmes movie?
I liked it, if the plot was better it could have been a very good movie.
sherlocks holmes isnt supposed to be adventerous and shit, its supposed to be all like "immah search this place and find out shit" and then he goes after clues. whats with him fighting people with swords and shit

Pretty damn good. Robert Downey Jr nailed the persona of Holmes and his chemistry with Jude Law was excellent. But the bad guy, Blackwell, he didn't really fit. I mean the story was interesting, but the character Blackwell was just, eh, off. Maybe it was the acting.

They even make reference to that in the movie, when Watson says "that stuff you're using is meant for eye surgery", one of the first uses for cocaine.

I liked it, but you're not really missing anything if you don't see it. Also I agree there was too much fighting and not enough of the detective stuff, I can't help but feel as if it could have been made better.
I still liked it though, it was a good movie.

Actually the movie shitted me for the first hour, until I figured out that it wasn't actually magic, just science, then I enjoyed it a lot more. No Holmes movie should go into that territory.
Anyway, his investigative talents were certainly there, and the action was amazing.

I also enjoyed Robert Downey Jr's performance a great deal. So what if it wasn't exactly to the book. You have to modify things like that for the general population (take the new Dante's Inferno game, boring book wise but modified for a game its kick ass). I would gladly see the movie again. Stop nit picking people its a movie not shakespears next great work.
