• Jerry Brown: Trump emissions threat to US car industry
The US car industry will be wrecked if President Trump relaxes emissions standards, California's governor says. Jerry Brown said China would dominate car manufacture because it was heavily promoting the electric vehicles that would dominate the future. He said huge investment was needed on electric vehicles, along with federal rules to encourage their purchase. ... "China's investing billions in battery technology and electric cars - and introducing a regulatory regime that will produce for their market a percentage of electric cars that to my knowledge no American executive can even imagine." ... "Maybe our biggest ally is the People's Republic of China, which is going to demand a zero vehicles initiative that would align very closely with California. ... In the absence of a major political figure from the administration, Mr Brown will be the senior US politician at the UN climate talks in Bonn, where delegates are drawing up a rule book for implementing the Paris climate accord.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-41894354
Regardless of how much you give a damn about global warming, you'd be pretty fucking dumb to not see that we are very close to a massive, world changing shift to a new power technology in cars.
I feel that if Donald were to reply to this directly, he'd pull out some garbage fallacious argument and his entire hardbase would support it, something along the lines of: "We have to Ban electric cars, they are a Chinese tool to influence our Econ!! and/or "Electric cars can be hacked!! We can't let CHINA jeopardize AMERICAN lives. #AmericaFirst", which could potentially paradoxically fuck over the prospect of EV development in the US depending on how intent on slobbing-all-over-corporate-dong the GOP establishment is (and based on what's been going on lately, it would seem as if it really is in the mood), in turn maintaining, perpetuating, or improving relations with Petrol organizations to ensure financial support down the line, giving a good reason for other lobbyist groups to continue in their lobbying efforts, worsening the already extreme air of financial dubiousness and corruption shrouding congress. Easy D's a cycle—a fucking hell carousel.
Title led me to believe they were talking about all the got air coming out of Trump's mouth.
To be fair, that's pretty toxic as well. May cause brain damage.
But he uses tic-tacs, it can't smell that bad!
But he uses tic-tacs, it can't smell that bad!
Gasses don't have to have an odor to be toxic. Case in point, carbon monoxide.
the worst part is, this won't even hit us until after trump is out of office
Title led me to believe they were talking about all the got air coming out of Trump's mouth.
I think it's the amount of calories and energy he uses making those Twitter posts, I've heard they are the leading cause of the world's problems today even surpassing the Cattle industry. Jokes aside this needs to be stopped, it isn't actually funny anymore what he is doing. This world should be progressing yet here we are with Trump and Brexit, yeah. Politics has become who can get the most reposts in the US and I definitely never saw that one coming. In Britain it's about which party can lie harder in order to gain whatever it is they want. I don't see what Brexit will bring apart from crises after crises.
