Police said a man in a silver Lincoln ran a red light and t-boned a white Toyota Camry on Westheimer at Highway 6 around 12:15 a.m. The driver of the Lincoln hopped out and fled on foot. Moments later, HPD received a call that a pedestrian had been hit by a bus. The pedestrian was trying to cross Westheimer at Windchase when he was hit. The victim died at the scene. Police believe it was the Lincoln driver. Police said the fog was very thick when the man darted into traffic and the bus driver did not have enough time to stop. “His statement is the pedestrian appeared immediately in front of him and by the time he did see him, he did not have time to react,” said Victor Rodriguez, the Metropolitan Transit Authority police chief. “Impact indications and the lack of skid marks indicate he was going at the appropriate speed.” Chief Rodriguez also said the bus driver has a good driving record and that he’s been with Metro for 11 years. The bus had four passengers onboard at the time of the accident. None of them was hurt. The bus driver will not face charges.
Oh Wow. Only in Texas. :v:
Sounds like a movie script.
Sounds like a movie script.
A very short movie then.
None of them was hurt.
Sounds like he got busted.
Reminds me of the last time I played GTA IV.
Ouch. Sounds like a horrible way to die. Must be horrible for the Bus driver too.
Wow.....I've got nothing to say to this. Just....wow. That sucks.
Did the man die? The article never said...
Did the man die? The article never said...
Yes it did.
Moments later, HPD received a call that a pedestrian had been hit by a bus.
None of them was hurt.
We talk funny. Stuff like this is completely acceptable in Texas but from the most uptight English major.
i know i live in san antonio
We talk funny. Stuff like this is completely acceptable in Texas but from the most uptight English major.

Did the man die? The article never said...
I've seen people not read the article properly, but not reading the title properly either is something else.
Oh Wow. Only in Texas. :v:
Because buses are only in Texas.
Instant karma, plain and simple.
Did the man die? The article never said...
Uh, its in the title and the story. Obviously your here to make yourself look like a idiot.
Because buses are only in Texas.
he's implying how shitty drivers are around here. People here can't drive in general and it gets worse when it rains, fogs, and ices over
Sounds like a movie script.
See Harry Brown, similar thing happens in the opening scene
We talk funny. Stuff like this is completely acceptable in Texas but from the most uptight English major.
I looked it up, "none" can be used as singular or plural.
I wonder why he was running?
he's implying how shitty drivers are around here. People here can't drive in general and it gets worse when it rains, fogs, and ices over
There's not much you can do when a guy runs in front of the bus in heavy fog.
Was the bus okay?
I wonder why he was running?
Panic, or possibly lacked insurance.
Im wondering if the person in the toyota is alright
We've been getting all kinds of wierd car stories in Houston lately. There was this one girl that avoided a parking ticket by speeding at over 90 mph on the loop and had her tires slashed on the spike strips, BUT SHE KEPT GOING FOR ANOTHER 5-10 MILES.
They were filming a scene from the new Final Destination movie.
I don't get why people are rating this winner. I agree that running away from an accident after running a red light is a shitty thing to do, but certainly it doesn't mean that the man deserved to die.
