Ok, for those of you who have seen the trailers for super 8, the upcoming J J abrams flick, you'll know that it's about an alien that escapes from a derailed train. my question to you is, what do you think the monster will be, it can be either silly or serious

I think they'll be all mysterious and not actually show the monster at all, just drop enough hints for the audience to form the monster in their heads and leave it all up to the imagination.

I highly doubt that. If they're going to make a monster movie without showing the monster that's a HUGE kick in the face to the viewers and therefore its rating would plummet.
I have a feeling it'll be displayed kind of how the creatures in [i]The Mist[/i] were. Minus the final scene where you see an entire thing.

But you see like 5 of the creatures full bodies quite a few times. Asides from the gargantuan mammoth thing.
