Christian Bale Visits Shooting Victims in Colorado Christian Bale with Carey Rottman Christian Bale, who stars in The Dark Knight Rises, is visiting the victims of the Aurora, Colo., shooting spree who were injured while watching a midnight showing of the movie. According to a local Denver TV reporter, Bale was seen entering the hospital where many of the wounded are being treated. One of them, Carey Rottman, posted a Facebook photo of himself with Bale at his bedside. "Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications, tells the Denver Post. Bale, who was in Europe with the rest of the cast to promote the film when news of the killings broke last week, released a statement Friday offering his condolences to the victims and their families. "Words cannot express the horror that I feel," he said Friday. "I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them." Twelve people were killed including a 6-year-old girl, and more than 50 were wounded when a gunman opened fire on the audience. James Holmes, the suspected shooter, was in court Monday in Centennial, Colo. He has been held in solitary confinement without bond. Wouldn't this traumatize them? It could trigger bad memories, just by being related to the shooting. [editline]d[/editline] Nevermind, I'm wrong.
This is a surprisingly nice move out of him.
Wouldn't this traumatize them? It could trigger bad memories, just by being related to the shooting.
It's not like he's there dressed as Batman.
considering what he's done before this is quite nice
Aww, that's nice of him.
considering what he's done before this is quite nice
What has he done before?
This is a surprisingly nice move out of him.

considering what he's done before this is quite nice
I don't get it
he's actually an asshole going around the hospital personally spoiling the movie to patients
What has he done before?

I know of that one incident, I though there was more. Besides, he did apologise for that.
What has he done before?
cut off contact with his mother (who talked to the local paper about how it tore her apart) went apeshit nuts at a cast member now there's probably stuff I'm missing and he's a good actor but it's nice to see him balancing the scales
What has he done before?
Maybe he's talking about that meltdown he had on the Terminator: Salvation set? Anyways, this is an awesome thing for him to do. I love it when celebrities do things like this, like when Ron Perlman got dressed up as Hellboy and hung out with that little kid who had cancer.
I imagined him doing this to the victims.
Christian Bale's a bro.

Wasnt this fake?
Some other shooting victims got to meet another Batman actor. Heath Ledger
Yeah, this was really thoughtful. Respect. Also, pretty good lookin' tats Mr. Rottman.
Some other shooting victims got to meet another Batman actor. Heath Ledger
Well gee, that was a bit low. Wasn't it?
Some other shooting victims got to meet another Batman actor. Heath Ledger
too fuckin soon [sp]give it a year or so[/sp]
Wasnt this fake?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Bale#Terminator_Salvation_incident
too fuckin soon [sp]give it a year or so[/sp]
Everyone I know has already been making fuckloads of jokes about it. Maybe I am just surrounded by bad people
This is a surprisingly nice move out of him.
He may be a jerk sometimes, but he does do good things occasionally. I think. Honestly I have no idea but he at least did one good thing:
'Batman' star Bale punched, stopped from visiting blind Chinese activist
http://edition.cnn.com/2011/12/15/world/asia/china-bale-activist/index.html?hpt=hp_c2
Christian Bale is good and lovely. He has the ability.
lets just forget the fact that re-shooting that part in Terminator costed a ton of cash, it was this super intense moment and its hard to just pop into that moment again. not to mention that bale and that set worker talked about it and bale apologized for going a bit over the line, and apparently they hang out now and then, drink a beer and such
So a guy gets really angry at someone when they're likely stressed as hell and suddenly a nice move from him is "surprising". Okay then. Good on Mr. Bale for doing this.
Christian Bale is such a fantastic guy.
I bet those were some awkward conversations: Patient- "OMG, it's Batman! Yes!" Bale- "So, um, what did you think of the movie?" Patient- "..."
cut off contact with his mother (who talked to the local paper about how it tore her apart) went apeshit nuts at a cast member now there's probably stuff I'm missing and he's a good actor but it's nice to see him balancing the scales
you know the reason for that is cause all his family does is ask him for money. bale is a pretty good guy who takes what he does really seriously. and is great at it.
It's not like he's there dressed as Batman.
as soon as you said that I imagined all the lights near and in a patiants room going off then suddenly batman infront of him
