Donald Trump asked a foreign policy expert advising him why the U.S. can't use nuclear weapons, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said on the air Wednesday, citing an unnamed source who claimed he had spoken with the GOP presidential nominee.
I'm not a voter, but I discuss this election with my friends a lot. Before I read Trump's outrageous claims like these I felt like he was just a valid candidate as Clinton. But with this stuff surfacing or being resurfaced it's getting obvious that if you have to vote for either, Clinton is definitely the lesser evil.
I think if the United States or anybody used nuclear weapons the world would turn against them pretty fast.
Watching this complete clown gain the support of so many is truly a sight to behold.

It's both baffling and truly alarming.
I don't want neither of the candidates to win, but if i had to chose it would be Hillary. Because at least she doesn't want to start fucking WW3.

I'm at this stage hoping Hillary winds but Congress and the Senate are controlled by opposite parties. That way, neither can do anything stupid.
whose this unnamed source?
someone who is never going to be named. you're just going to have to take Joe's word for it that this actually happened.

If Hillary gets in I'm not at all worried about what she'll actually do. She'll probably be a fairly decent president. The problem I have with her is how she gets in in the first place. Whereas with Trump it's absolutely both.
hi
yeah why can't we destroy the entire fucking world

and note that joe is a noted republican who has no love for hillary or democrats
he has no reason to lie on something big as this
on topic: this is why we keep asking if its okay to give trump the nuclear codes
did this 70 year old asshat forget the ENTIRE cold war he lived through???

The primary system in this country makes it difficult for independent voters to place their ballots. It varies by state but generally independent voters must choose (sometimes months in advance) which party they will be voting with in the primaries. If you're independent and you like a candidate from one party but hate the guts of someone in the other party, you have to choose between voting for the one you like in the first party or voting against the one you hate in the other.
In essence, our primaries are mostly echo chambers where all of the candidates try to chug their party's kool-aid harder than anyone else so that they can survive until the general election. Its only when the general election comes around that both parties start to hold each other accountable for nominating absolute nutbags.

You really would've thought that "duck and cover" would have actually stuck to him at an early age.
Maybe he was just eating glue while under his desk.

Rich people don't get nuked/fight in wars. They just get richer from exacerbating the problem and cashing in on other's misfortunes.
He probably loved the cold war era.
I can imagine the JCOS are going to have a really frustrating few years if Trump inexplicably pulls back the win. They'll spend four whole years trying desperately to block Trump from reacting with nuclear weapons - or at least weight of arms - to every single conflict.

Nukes are kind of an exception to that, though.

Who knows, maybe nuclear fallout will make his shitty fucking excuse for a haircut look better

Everything is better when it glows in the dark

If fallout has taught me anything its that in the case of nuclear war, trump will descend into the earth and form the institute and start replacing all of the living people with synths that have terrible haircuts.
imagine trump during the cuban missile crisis
i feel like that should be a president's stress test honestly, the way JFK handled that situation is practically text book on why you should never resort to using "the big guns"
Trump would of just blew up Cuba, fought the Soviet Union and lost when nukes were flying around everywhere
Coming from the world's biggest critic of Trump, listening to that video makes me really question the reliability of this. It's basically hearsay- the guy says that a couple of months ago, an unnamed person spoke to Trump and this occurred. Why did the story take so long to break? Combined with the fact that it's MSNBC, I'm skeptical. (Not that we need any more reasons to believe Trump is a dangerous person to have as a leader.)

I truly believe that some are only voting for him because it's funny to them somehow, because he's a meme or whatever.

If /pol/ or one of the "ironic" Trump subreddits existence isn't proof enough of people doing that exact thing.
i don't understand politics at all, and us politics much less, but why the fuck are the only candidates in the election two complete imbeciles
I think that's a bit of false equivalence.
Every other election in recent history, the two main-party candidates have been basically equal, at least given what knowledge we had at the time. Bush/Gore, Bush/Kerry, Obama/McCain, all of them were equally qualified, and also equally corrupt, within an order of magnitude. Had this been Hillary/Jeb or Hillary/Kasich, the same would have been true.
Trump is an entirely different level. He has none of the normal qualifications for office - no political experience, no military experience. He's proven that he hasn't somehow learned how to lead a nation on his own.
He's corrupt in a fundamentally different way than every prior politician. He's been the one giving bribes, not the one taking them, for decades. It's entirely possible he decided to run for President just to save money on his corruption. And however cozy Hillary might be with Wall Street, she was still part of an administration that passed Dodd-Frank. Her corruption has limits. Trump's does not.
And then there's the scary things. Trump is directly undermining democracy - he's threatening violence if he's not elected, and already implying that the elections are invalid. He's potentially selling us out to a foreign power, if you believe the stuff about Russia backing him (the evidence isn't strong enough yet but it's quite plausible). He claims the previous president was completely ineligible for office. His platform contains things that go against the entire spirit of American democracy - freedom of religion was one of the most fundamental rights, and he wants to do away with it because muslims are scary. He wants to torture people "because they deserve it". He wants to deliberately kill innocent civilians because a relative was identified as a terrorist.
We're getting a choice between business as usual, or "Hitler with worse hair", and decades of basically-identical choices have far too many people assuming that Hillary must be equally horrible, despite all the evidence pointing to her being just another run-of-the-mill career politician.
This should not be a particularly difficult choice. Nobody should be throwing their hands up in disgust at these two "equally evil" candidates, because they're not even close to being equal.
If you want to vote for a third-party candidate because you think they're genuinely better and more closely align with your politics, feel free to do so. But nobody should be voting third-party because they want to "send a message" that "the system is broken".
I voted third-party four years ago. I have done exhaustive research on all the candidates, and as of right now, even if Donald Trump dropped out of the race, I would be hard-pressed to pick between Clinton, Johnson and Stein. Clinton has marks against her, but so does Johnson, and so does Stein. Trump, meanwhile, is nothing but marks against.
This isn't an election, it's the American public voting on whether or not to give nuclear weapons to a 4th grader. There is a clear right and wrong choice here, people.
Anyone that tries to defend Trump are blind to the fact that this dude has not only the vocabulary and grammar of a ten year old, but likely the maturity and mental capacity of one as well.
You know, I once saw a picture of before/after presidency with several presidents. Like Bush normal then Bush with grayer hair and wrinkles.
Then you have Trump then and after you got Immortan joe
Seems very fitting, especially when you learn Joe's backstory
I think with all the serious retardation coming out of Trumps mouth over the past few days will pretty much seal the win for Hilary. Dont think there is much you can do there to be honest.
At this point, all you can wish for is stability.
