Bobby Ray aka B.o.B. is one of the most talented and creative artists of this decade. He has a signature sound and is not only a great rapper, but also a great producer. Most of you may know him for his hits such as, Nothin' On You, Airplanes, and Magic. These songs are found on his debut album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray that went gold, selling 84,000 copies in the first week.
This is a huge feat for someone who used to have to sneak into clubs to perform, which ironically, is how he came to fame. In 2006 he snuck into Club Crucial, a hip hop club (owned by Atlanta rap star T.I.) where he wowed the crowd over witch his original song Cloud 9. T.I. and his crew loved his signature sound and creativity and the rest is history. We was signed to Grand Hustle and quickly rose through the charts.
The Songs You Haven't Heard And the songs you need to.
What a lot of people fail to realize, is that like most rap artists, B.o.B. has released numerous mixtapes, all of which are filled with gold. A lot of people only heard those 3 songs that put him in the public spotlight, which is ok because they are great songs, but you really are missing out on tons of great material. Below, I will post some of his mix tapes (and downloads) and his album and post the songs, that in my opinion, you shouldn't miss.

I really like "I'll Be In the Sky"
I went to see Paramore with some friends last month and he was supporting. He was surprisingly decent.

Good to see someone else who likes Paramore
Magic is probably one of the most annoying songs I've ever heard.
Sorry, but I honestly don't think he's all that creative.
I fucking hate that airplanes song. Seems like a good rapper otherwise.
Magic is a sick song. With Rivers Cuomo, it's a really sick song. But B.O.B is definitely a sick rapper. Has a pretty easy flow and sick beats. I don't like 'Airplanes' though, that just got annoying real fast.

I'm not a huge fan tbh, but it was still a laugh.
I hope to god that OP is a troll.

Please buy a thesaurus. To be fair I don't think he's all that amazing, The Adventures of Bobby Ray had good singles but as an album it didn't really stick.
When compared to a lot of the other up-and-comers of 2010, B.o.B is astoundingly mediocre. While his style is pretty varied, he's pretty hit or miss with his songs. Some are very good and catchy, others are just, "Eh."
I hope to god that OP is a troll.
I hope to god that you aren't a "metalhead" who hates all other music except metal.
Ps I have nothing against metalheads just and example

I'm not really into metal, I like most everything else though. "Airplanes" has caused me to hate B.o.B. and most everything he does. Not trying to be a dick, I personally don't like his music.

That's a really close minded thing to do. Hate an artist cause he made a song you dislike. I fucking hate airplanes, but that doesn't mean I hate B.o.B.

That's what allows him to break through and to me makes him an astounding artist. He isn't afraid to experiment and throw things out on the table.
Have you taken time to listen to some of his mix tapes, specifically No Genre? The guy has serious flow and is a pretty good writer. I mean, if he was truly mediocre, would Quincey Jones be working with him?

Don't judge him just by his singles and one album. And honestly, in my opinion, half that album was better than his singles.
One more thing, I also do not like any kind of rap and/or hip-hop music. That is the main reason I do not like B.o.B. I was really just using that song as an example.

Well aren't you edgy, hip, and cool.
Then why bother even wandering into the thread when you know that's what it is about?
I've liked his singles so far, I'll have to check the album out.
He's a good rapper, no doubt. But the Class of 2010 is extremely talented, and B.o.B's experimentation and charisma just aren't enough to make him one of the best.
I prefer Wale and J.Cole over this guy, but I'll admit he has some talent. My main issue with him is he's got no anger in his voice, there is no aggression in his rapping, which a factor I look for in my Hip-Hop
