Many hours were spent in the making of this video Lennoko: watch out 24 second video Lennoko: that took 6 hours Lennoko: to actually battle
Did this really deserve a thread to itself? Although, still pretty cool idea
Nice idea, I'm sure I've seen it before. But I'm not going to lie, that was a pretty hideous match to do it with. Lazy effects and the stupidest kind of ending known to PW.

And yeah effects were pretty bad, it was just me and three other dudes trying it out for a first time, over a 6 hour period in the wee morning.

Give a box to the box :downs:
It was crap, but now i demand a fully animated recreation of a PW match.
Yeah it is poop, like I said it was us trying it out for the first time Also how the Fuck has no one done this before, I mean we thought it had to be quite common?!
Its called Picture Wars for a reason, we never animate unless its for a signature on the PW forum or just for showing off, animating a full 4-5 page long match is ridiculous, and no one attempts it in the way you have because its a crap idea, im talking about seeing them run fully from one place to the next etc, not just a slideshow of each turn.
Actually, if you do it in portions it might not be that bad. Like, chop the map into 200x200 blocks, then do every square individually. You can't just use individual turns and expect it to come out great. Each pw turn can be everything from 20 to 60 frames, to not make it overboard. You make run animations for all your units ofcourse beforehand, and other animations aswell, like the recoil of a gun or slashing of a sword. Making an animation like that is considerably easier with medieval armies, considering that they aren't as effect-intensive.
I'd like to see an animation of that massive PW match on the freeforums.. St. Petersburg, was it? Would take yeeeeaaaars to complete.
