like how the first two guys wearing the funny hats were just like "lol"
Femen operates exactly like the Westboro Baptist Church, only with more tits and even less subtle.
Jesus Christ just let security handle it, you don't have to start kicking the shit out of them.
Jesus Christ just let security handle it, you don't have to start kicking the shit out of them.
You never know how people are going to react to something like this. They might not have a clue about FEMEN, and that's why they've panicked when some mystery boobs rolled up at their conference.
Jesus Christ just let security handle it, you don't have to start kicking the shit out of them.
You did notice that it was a MUSLIM conference. And they did not wear any "protective" clothing, did not show respect and were "haram" anyway?
At least they didn't throw shoes.
Pulling out titties at a Muslim conference is asking for trouble.
Holy fuck, that guy walking around with the balloon. "This isn't the kids show."
Don't bother looking in the comments, it's exactly what you expect.
Holy fuck, that guy walking around with the balloon. "This isn't the kids show."
but it turned into a circus.
I wonder how faux-leftist regressives can wrap their mind around this.
What's FEMEN's agenda anyway?
What's FEMEN's agenda anyway?
Women's rights. The idea for them in particular is that the only thing people pay attention to is breasts, so that's how they get attention. They do some really good stuff, actually. whether it be supporting abortions or hating on shariah law, or simply gender inequality. Make no mistake, they aren't "radical". In this case they were upset about the people at the conference discussing beating your wife at home.
Femen operates exactly like the Westboro Baptist Church, only with more tits and even less subtle.
this guy has literally no idea what he's talking about. [sp]Or maybe I have no idea?[/sp]
Ouch poor girls.

You know, a portmanteau of sex and extremism? If this isn't radical then I don't know what is.

And they're actually a laughing stock in the Feminist Community, or worse, the perfect example of how to do it wrong. They're evangelical in their approach to feminism, you're either for Free the (white)Nipple or you're a sexist shit lord who needs be shouted at. They're the poster child of Radical feminism. They're the same group who if you don't agree with them, you're not a 'real feminist'. That's always been their policy. They've also made homophobic and anti-trans comments, going so far as to say the Ukrainian Ministry is a 'homosexual cabinet'.
Pulling out titties at a Muslim conference is asking for trouble.
Yeah but what they did totally didn't justify the reaction, holy shit Calling a random guy on the street a cunt is asking for trouble, but if he starts beating on you, he's still pretty fucking wrong
Yeah, the response was very very very overboard and dumb. However, without sounding like an asshole, I am entirely not surprised.
Against inequality but they only accept beautiful women in FEMEN yeah right
Yeah, that would be the one downfall, but the reason for it is to keep media attention. If that wasn't a main goal, they probably wouldn't be topless while protesting. I mean I could be wrong, since everyone is telling me otherwise, but they seem like a smart and effective group that actually cares about women's rights.

Any dogmatic look at anything is at fault almost immediately and you can see this in their targets they hit; they'll go after normal groups of people or protesters as they will go after men like Vladimir Putin. You can care about something and still be completely fucking wrong in both approach and reasoning for supporting such movements. [editline]15th September 2015[/editline] Further; they state they're for liberating women but actually play right into the hands of the idea that women are only effective as eyecandy.
Pulling out titties at a Muslim conference is asking for trouble.
It never excuses mob mentality though.
goat

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/the-man-who-made-femen-new-film-outs-victor-svyatski-as-the-mastermind-behind-the-protest-group-and-its-breastbaring-stunts-8797042.html
“He can be really horrible but he is fiercely intelligent,” she said of Mr Svyatski, who is interviewed on camera in her film. Ms Green spent a year living in a tiny apartment in Kiev with four of the Femen members and filming their stunts. “I would shoot their protests and they would take them and put them on their website,” she said. Only gradually did she become aware that Mr Svyatski was pulling the strings behind the scenes. “Once I was in the inner circle, you can’t not know him. He is Femen.” Initially, Mr Svyatski refused to allow Ms Green to film him but she was determined that he should feature. “It was a big moral thing for me because I realised how this organisation was run. He was quite horrible with the girls. He would scream at them and call them bitches.” When the Femen founder finally spoke to Ms Green, he sought to justify his role within the organisation and acknowledged the paradox of being a “patriarch” running a feminist protest group. “These girls are weak,” he says in the film. “They don’t have the strength of character. They don’t even have the desire to be strong. Instead, they show submissiveness, spinelessness, lack of punctuality, and many other factors which prevent them from becoming political activists. These are qualities which it was essential to teach them.” Mr Svyatski insists to Ms Green that his influence on the group is positive. However, when he is asked directly whether he started Femen “to get girls”, he replies: “Perhaps yes, somewhere in my deep subconscious.” One of the Femen campaigners talks of the relationship between the women and the movement’s founder as being akin to “Stockholm syndrome”, in which hostages feel sympathy for their captors. “We are psychologically dependent on him and even if we know and understand that we could do this by ourselves without his help, it’s psychological dependence,” she says.
This organization is a sham and a scam.
Pulling out titties at a Muslim conference is asking for trouble.
And trouble is exactly what they wanted. They probably didn't plan on getting kicked, but this was a very successful stunt for them. Any other conference people would've just been amused and had security escort them out.
What's FEMEN's agenda anyway?
Flash tits, shout profanities, accomplish {data missing} [editline]15th September 2015[/editline]
And trouble is exactly what they wanted. This exposes the twisted morals of the people kicking them.
Yeah no every single time Femen goes out to cause trouble they stay until someone punches or kicks them, and if that doesn't happen they get more and more agitated until security tackles them. A couple of blokes kicking a couple of dumb cunts doesn't expose any twisted morals.

Some negative, some positive. You think rushing on stage and kicking half-naked women on the ground doesn't expose any twisted morals? I'm not talking about muslims in general, just these people kicking them. The women weren't assaulting anybody.

FEMEN is a very minor influence on the media. They've been trying to start shit in France at regular intervals and failed to get any more attention than a brief mention in the news once every six months. They sprayed people with fire extinguishers filled with water during a protest against gay marriage (which, as dumb as protesting against gay marriage is, was a peaceful protest), and later set a couple of things on fire in the street to "support" an Arabic woman who showed her breasts on her blog (the Arabic feminist community responded by telling them to fuck off and stop ruining everything).
No, it exposes some people as violent and easy to piss off. That's not morals, that's just behavioral issues.
Great analysis mr. freud. I assumed it was about twisted morals considering the attitudes in some extreme muslim communities and even countries, and this being a muslim conference. But you're right, we can't be sure. Again, I'm not labeling all muslims as oppressive towards women. Just talking about the violent folk in this video. They certainly keep making international headlines. As I said, I haven't been following SEMEN very closely at all. I'm talking about this event, and not their activism in general. Sounds like you know a lot more of them than me.
