Step one: Be a Florida man. Step two: Make an online video with yourself posing in front of a Confederate battle flag. Step three: Declare your gun store a “Muslim-free zone” because you’re a “true patriot.” Step four: Get on CNN. That’s the route taken by Andrew Hallinan, who declared his Florida Gun Supply shop a “Muslim-free zone” after a Kuwait-born gunman killed four Marines and a sailor in Chattanoooga, Tenn., last week. “I’m declaring Florida Gun Supply as a Muslim-free zone,” he said in a video posted to Facebook. “I will not arm and train those who wish to do harm to my fellow patriots.”
Source & CNN Interview Video Post
Can't wait for a white Muslim marine to walk in there.
I can guess he's probably going to be going out of business soon enough.
I hate Florida so much. I wish I could leave here.
Can't wait for a white Muslim marine to walk in there.
his skull shatters in the revelation of their existence
I can guess he's probably going to be going out of business soon enough.
Indeed. I'd make sure to let him know that he'd lost a few white christian customers if I were using his shop for my firearms needs. And then proceed to go to another shop.
I hate Florida so much. I wish I could leave here.
I'm from Florida, I feel sorry for you.
Sure, just have someone of middle-eastern descent who's not Muslim walk in there. That'll do the trick.
His store might be a customer free zone soon :v:
Boy I'm sure glad we have the Constitution to prevent religious discrimination, that was awesome of the founding fathers to include that. Unfortunately this guy skipped that part so he could go straight to the good part spill his seed all over the 2nd Amendment.
ironically by doing this he probably is making muslims feels more unwelcome and unwanted in the US, pushing them towards terrorism and violence towards resident non-muslim americans.
ironically by doing this he probably is making muslims feels more unwelcome and unwanted in the US, pushing them towards terrorism and violence towards resident non-muslim americans.
yo can we not pretend like muslims are somehow genetically more prone to terrorism than other humans thanks also the civil rights act of 1964 is a bitch ain't it
yo can we not pretend like muslims are somehow genetically more prone to terrorism than other humans thanks
? when did i say that?
when did i say that?
everytime there's a story about muslims being discriminated against or really just about muslims in general there's always people saying something along the lines of what you said, as if muslims need to be catered to and will suddenly go blow themselves up because someone dumb did something dumb i know you mean well truly, but it doesn't help the situation, if anything it aggravates it by setting muslims into their group that seemingly need to be viewed in a different light
He should probably declare it a "no-negro zone" too because obviously all Black people are criminals too. While he's at it he should just go ahead and stop serving people of German decent because he shouldn't be arming people who are clearly all going to go out and kill Jews.
making muslims feels more unwelcome and unwanted in the US
Can't imagine why anyone would feel that when they've been demonized as terrorists for literally no reason. Whoah.

It's funny that one self-defense instructor with firearms I watched a video of is actually Arabic, can you imagine if he walked in and he was told to leave? Oh the great irony.
um muslim isnt a race.... (i dont actually hold these opinions but you can bet your ass someone will have or at least think about replying to you with that)
(German isn't a race either) The funny thing is, the very people who do the shit the guy in the article is doing thinks they are. [editline]22nd July 2015[/editline]
You forgot a No Jap zone
Also the no Christian zone, can't have them starting another crusade. Oh wait..
this is not how you get people to like you. not all muslims are ISIS. ISIS calls themselves muslim but they do the exact opposite of what the scripture says. muslims don't blow up a fucking mosque on ramadan. and i just wanna get out that this is definitely not how the majority of gun enthusiasts and gun shop owners feel about islam or anything else. there's a reason why this is on the news, it's so ridiculous that it's actually news. i live in arizona, and i totally expected this place to be bigot central, but my favorite local gun store's best salesman and apparently co-owner (iirc) is an indian muslim who's the most bro-tier dude i've met in my local gun community. he also brings two boxes of donuts to the store most days of the week for customers and the employees, and they're bosa donuts so it's always awesome. that's more anecdotal evidence, but it's much more common an occurrence than someone adopting a purely discriminatory policy like this.
I can guess he's probably going to be going out of business soon enough.
It's fucking Florida, if anything it will attract more people.

If anything it'll attract the wrong kind of attention, and possibly result in a confrontation. I'm sure they're doing it to get attention, which is what they're getting. Bad views are views regardless. People know of this gun store now, and if they don't want no one to blow them up, they'll go to it. /s

You're wrong. They are Muslim, they are just believe in a way more literal interpretation of the Koran.

One is a tiny group of people in a church universally disliked by basically all Christians, and the other is almost literally it's own nation with an army and lots of supporters.

Size shouldn't have any bearing and Westboro Baptist Church believe in the death penalty for homosexual acts. I guess ISIS has more Muslim support than the wbc has christian support, so maybe you're onto something.
Ya no its not. Private businesses cannot discriminate based on sex, race, or religion. I hope he has a good lawyer

Once a group gets sizable, then you start to analyse if their beliefs can possibly jive with the belief system they claim. Honestly, the WBC is literally like 40 people. That's it.

That's it.
I'm not talking about "real". There are christian groups in Africa and elsewhere that believe in literal interpretations of the Bible just like the wbc. It's the calling them not christian part that I don't understand. Moderation is good but the idea that people think that isis aren't true Muslims bothers me. They are just a different sect. A sect that needs to be convinced that they are wrong, even if it'd be hard to justify based off a literal interpretation of the Koran. I realize that my beliefs would probably alienate Muslim moderates, but it's not right to say isis isn't Muslim. Some older fpers might remember how I used to be a young earth creationist christian. Now that I'm not, it's scary seeing people not understand that people actually believe what they say they believe. It's like people don't think that if you went back in time and added "don't kill homosexuals" to every page of the Koran would have any effect of the actions isis and other extremist groups take. Of course it would. People respect these holy books and take their words literally like I used to with the Bible. I realize you understood what I was getting at on your first reply and I don't mean to split hairs, but I've been sick of this misguided Muslim apologetics that I've seen on facepunch as of late. You can objectively say that some religions are worse for humanity than others in the 21st century, and I don't understand how that's a wrong assessment.
