art academy is a application you can download to the dsi,
it shows a couple of basic lessons and offers a free paint mode.
with this free paint mode i have created some paintings.
the reason i post them here is that i feel they are incomplete.
like there should be more in the pictures.
so i welcome any constructive critisism on how to improve the paintings.

the thing is, on such a small screen its not easy making details.
so facepunch, what needs to be improved?
should i add something?
should i remove something?
I think you should look into getting a tablet for your PC. Those are pretty coolio. As for the sunrise/set over the water, the reflection in the water should include some yellow, clouds too.
For doodling that on the DSi, it's pretty intense. I like them as-is, but as kybalt said, look into investing in a Tablet for your computer. I'm sure you'd benefit from it.
First one needs more lighting. On another rather relevant note, somebody I knew drew this on a DS as well.

oh yeah, thats flipnote studio, i have that aswell!
Really nice. I probably couldn't do anything like that.
Woah
Improvement? What improvement?
Shading overall, shadows for those aloe plants are shadows belonging to a post. At times lighting makes no sense, like those dunes give fuck all about the hill in front of them. Also that jupiter looks awfully bland and that cookie-planet looks plain weird. Overall everything drawn has this sort of a fat, misproportioned feeling to it, but I guess it's the DS's fault.
Here is a picture I made on mine.
