The UN was responding to shelling from M23 rebels on Goma on Thursday, a UN spokesman said. Congolese officials say five civilians in the city died. A M23 spokesman told the BBC it had not attacked the city, blaming the army for provoking the fighting.
And we'll never know the real reasons for the intervention and whether these rebels are freedom fighters or power taking insurgents.
Unless you research it
But I already did. When I said "we" I meant the population in general. Oh, and even with researching I still couldn't figure out if it's really a revolutionary army against foreign manipulation, just another power hungry group, or both.

And that's why colonisation is awful
Not in those blue conspicuous helmets I hope
Not in those blue conspicuous helmets I hope
I've always thought that too. Whenever I see images of UN soldiers and vehicles they don't seem like they'd be any good at going un-noticed.
They're not supposed to go un-noticed like they're supposed to have a highly visible presence.
During peacekeeping yeah but i'd rather not get thrown off in combat by my big blue hat
