Can be good to kill a few hours watching the bad auditions and occasionally raising an eyebrow at people who're good.
Sadly though shows like this produce people who get snapped up by recording companies wanting to make as much money as possible. thus they end up releasing uninspiring, unoriginal and frankly shit tracks which everyone seems to jump on because they saw them on TV. It's visibly sanding down the standards for which creativity can be rewarded and turning attention/money away from true creativity.
The people on these shows are always shit. Most of the time it's not talent but just popularity from the audience that makes them win or some shit.
It was funny, even though John and Edward were the worst singers on the X-Factor, I stopped watching when they got voted out.
