It sounds similar, with some vast improvements that I can't describe.
I must say though, you should remove that ear piercing high pitched sound when the first synth is being modulated, it may be due to the amount of resonance, so fix that, and you may be onto a fucking killer track. Good work!
Lol, what I did was attempt to make the sound clearer.
