I am considering changing from VHA to VirginMobile, guy at the store said it uses Optus lines. I have an optus tablet and its a bit slow. Would like to know, how is speed and coverage around Brisbane on Virgin Mobile (mainly around south) Thanks guys. PS. In the poll, plz vote on what you think is the best carrier (speed & coverage).
telstra is definately the best carrier when it comes to speed and coverage, but it does cost alot of $$$

Telstra since they own everything. But vodafone because I used them
I've had a look at telstra but won't choose them because of the price. Anyone had any experience with Virgin or Optus?
I used Optus for years and have never had a problem they're pretty fast too.
I used Optus for years and have never had a problem they're pretty fast too.
where are you living?
3 and Optus are pretty shit actually, Telstra is probably the best.
Optus is decent, even in the "regional" area I live in. Telstra would probably be better though.
i've got a phone on telstra and optus (and a shitty burner on voda), and while telstra by far has the best reception, due to their larger and less utlised next g 3g network, optus has much better value. if you get a phone that can access their 900mhz 3g network, such as the iphone 4, you're good to go. it works pretty well, and is fairly decent out in the country. optus / virgin are good enough. my worst gripe with them is their terrible business bills. there is not a soul in this world that can understand it.
But vodafone because I used them
Vodafone is the one network in aus that I wouldn't trust. with their shitty employees leaking details, to the master login that allowed people to edit and modify billing and view account information. vodafone is by far the worst network in australia in terms of security. where have you been??
