Thanks for the post! People are getting really quite diligent in posting these on here, I'm very flattered.

the shimmer on that gargoyle man made me think he was wearing pajamas at firist
This video made me get in the mood to play some They Hunger since it's that time of the year after all, and I still haven't fully completed it outside of Sven Co-op.
I find the lack of polish in lot's of these old mods to be charming. It gives you an insight into the thoughts of the creator and makes you question why they might have made the decisions that were made. That's just not something you always get on large collaborative games.
Damn you're pretty.
what was that one mod that had gmen flying around in the background of the post-boss hl1 gman epilogue?
what was that one mod that had gmen flying around in the background of the post-boss hl1 gman epilogue?
G-men invasion. Around 5 minutes in is what you're talking about (would post the video, but editing this removes it)
So I went ahead and played through the entire mod just now. Wanted to point out a couple of things. Scarfulhu doesn't mention this, but there's two different versions. There's the original that you can find here. http://www.moddb.com/mods/cthulhu/downloads/cthulhu-v10-zip And it's patch. http://www.moddb.com/mods/cthulhu/downloads/cthulhu-v11-patch The version Scarfulhu is playing is the Remod featuring updated assets, detail maps, and a variety of other changes. http://www.moddb.com/mods/cthulhu/addons/cthulhu-an-unspeakable-remod And he thought the floating Gman was the goofiest thing in the game, man he couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm hoping he didn't mention some of the enemies you run into because of spoilers, but it get's wild. I forgot I could screencap things, so this was the only one I could capture. [t]http://i.imgur.com/td472Z4.jpg[/t] Also, you get to a point where you can summon snakes, so I made a snek pile. [t]http://i.imgur.com/2c5lgmu.jpg[/t] Best mod.
I remember that the ModDB page shows a T-Rex, so I had no doubt that things would get weirder.
aw sucks I am in the mood for a HP Lovecraft game is that one on steam any goodÉ
aw sucks I am in the mood for a HP Lovecraft game is that one on steam any goodÉ
Dark Corners of the Earth is a good one. It gets pretty intense. Shadow of the Comet isn't that great, but might be fun to laugh at with friends or something. Prisoner of Ice I haven't yet tried.
oh didn't know there was more than one and yea I was talking about Dark Corners it seems like alot of people are on steam talking about bugs though : /
First time seeing your channel. Subbed. Really like the content and presentation.
Fuuuuck someone beat me to it. Good shit though.
oh didn't know there was more than one and yea I was talking about Dark Corners it seems like alot of people are on steam talking about bugs though : /
trust me, its mechanically kind of wonky and the second act kind of falls off, but you'll get more than enough of your fill of HP lovin'
Fuuuuck someone beat me to it. Good shit though.
You can still do a video on it though! It's always nice to see what other people think about something.
That enemy you said was ripped from something looks like an enemy out of Cry of Fear (almost identically so - the puppet enemy things). But if this came out in 2006, does that mean it was stolen from Cthulhu and put into Cry of Fear? A stolen asset of a potentially stolen asset?

I hope you do more HL1 mods, scarfulhu.
I hope you do more HL1 mods, scarfulhu.
They're definitely on the cards. People seem to be requesting They Hunger a lot, so that's probably the next big one I'll get around to. Not sure when, but I'll get there.
