Hello all. I'm in the market for a decent assault rifle or SMG to use in skirmishes. I have a price range of around $200, but preferably not over. Everything that I look for on places like Evike or ASGI are preorders, and they happen to be guns that I really want but don't want to wait very long to receive them. I just need some help finding something with good range, accuracy, metal gearbox, the works. I need it to be long lasting. I would greatly appreciate a push in the right direction.

That's a really broad list of weapons. Tell us what kind of guns you like to help narrow it down.
I like weapons that are cool looking, but mostly weapons that perform well. Also that thread sucks big tits, I couldn't find anything I liked in there. Compact weapons are nice, but if it sacrifices accuracy then its a no go. There ARE SMGs that have good range an accuracy, but most are pre orders or out of my price range.
Please define cool looking.
Unique, like the Steyr or F2000, things like that, but if it doesn't perform well then its a no go.
The Army Armament l85 is relatively unique/cool looking. Has Blowback. Under $200 I think but its under £200 pounds anyway and accurate but compact due to its Bullpup design.
Eeeh, one of my friends owns that, and it doesn't do very well... I'll give it a look.
So pretty much narrowed down to a good performing clone that is not your typical M4, AK, G36, or MP5 and is more or less geared for CQB for under $200. Lets see what I can come up with. CA AUG A2 Shorty Value Package. I used to own the full size pro line AUGA2. Definitely a unique gun, though I recommend getting TM mags for it. Other than that I can't really find anything that isn't a M4, AK, G36, or MP5 variant. But if you want reliability, accuracy, and price, G&G's Combat Machine M4's are the way to go. Won mine as a rifle prized and holy shit it's a great rifle, performs better than most of my more expensive Classic Army AEG's. http://www.airsoftgi.com/index.php?cPath=139_24_237
I've heard about the combat machines, they do look like good guns. I'll check them out.
I know you said you looked at ASGI, but did you see this one? It's the AirsoftGI G4 PWS Blowback, made to look like the PWS Diablo. Not a fan of the compensator on the end myself, and since we don't have to deal with recoil it serves no purpose, other than being a big chunk of metal on the end of your gun.
