I hope such a thing will be done for each conference, they are hilarious :v:
I think EA has gone from being money grubbing to delusional.
Announcing BF3 premium at E3 is so pathetic.
everything about this is just awful

That's because they don't have anything new to show for.
All they have done in recent years have been DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC.
They release a new title every 10 or so years and then fill it up with monthly DLC.

I love Dopelives.
Introduction of motocycles... motocycles... motocycles.... JUST SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
I love how people acknowledge beforehand that the conference is going to be shit and then still get disappointed when its shit. Silver lining is that shit like this gets made.
I don't understand all the hate around BF3 Premium, if you actually looked at it you'd realize that it's actually a great deal for people who like to play BF3, and if you don't like BF3 then don't buy it, it isn't like they're forcing you too.
For a buy-once price of 50$ (not 60$, I don't know where people are getting that.) you get all 5 expansion packs for cheaper than if you were to buy them separately, plus you get them 2 weeks early, and on top of that you get tons of content and updates exclusive to premium players.
Sure, I agree that the sheer amount of 'premium only exclusive' stuff is a slap in the face for those who don't want to buy it, but it also makes the whole deal of the premium thing a way better value.
I'm sorry if you believe you're oh so entitled that the game devs should make 10000 expansions all for free just for your pleasure.

I wouldn't be as annoyed if EA priced it based on actually converting the $50 (the price they first announced to everyone) to Pounds, annoying how I have to basically pay more (it's £40 in the UK) because EA want to milk my wallet. Even if I am saving a bit on each map pack, it's still rather annoying, so I dunno, i'm still on-off for whether to buy it or not.
Even if I am saving a bit on each map pack
That's the thing though, they aren't just map packs, you also get new weapons/assignments to work towards, new vehicles, and in all probability new features like the recently added weapon camos.
Weapon camos are not features.
The new premium dogtags however are.
If you kill someone wearing those you can honestly say they deserved it.
I mean, shit, I have bought premium myself and I wouldn't even be caught dead with em.

And in the end, you paid 110$ for a game.
This video reminded me of Fall on Your Sword.

Also, the entire time they were doing the BF3 Premium Edition, I was paying more attention to the various "No" clips than what the guy was saying. :v:
"Deadly Swams"
Rip dead space, battlefield, medal of honor and sim city.

We were promised free expansions and dice used to give out free expansions until EA took them over. Now we get call of duty over priced expansions that we expected to get for free.
these environments are designed for you
so you can play them

Battlefield 3
Initial Cost: $50
Cost of New Material: $50
20 New Maps
20 New Weapons

now let's compare that to one of Valve's offerings on Steam

They sure are doing a good job at following their word
plans are supposedly afoot to win customer's hearts and minds in a way other than cutting prices, to "form a longer-term relationship with them and draw them in that way."
It wasn't at launch, and everything they've put into the game since launch has been free (aside from keys and whatnot obv).
