Not all school bullies are students — some work there. Tammie Jackson phoned a Missouri school district to say that her daughter Gabrielle, 13, was routinely harassed because of her large breasts. But the alleged response from an employee horrified the already worried mother. “The lady on the phone said they could transfer my daughter and said her boobs were so large she will always get teased. And the only suggestion she had for me is to have my daughter get a breast reduction,” Jackson told local Fox-affiliate KTVI. Bullies at Central Middle School in Moline Acres, near St. Louis, make lewd and insensitive comments about Gabrielle’s large breasts, her mother claimed. The girl’s mother Tammie Jackson was deeply troubled by the response she says she received concerning her daughter’s predicament. Jackson expected the school to look into the issue and tell the suspects to stop humiliating the sixth-grade girl. Instead, Jackson said the blame was placed unfairly on Gabrielle, the victim, rather than the bullies. “It makes me feel like now you are telling me it’s my fault, it’s God’s fault the way he made my daughter,” she said. School Superintendent Clive Coleman said that the school is currently investigating the incident and working on decreasing bullying throughout his district. He does not think, however, that Jackson’s claims are entirely accurate, reported KTVI. “We’re still investigating it,” he said. “But to be honest with you, I think it’s maybe a product of miscommunication.” School Superintendent Clive Coleman said the controversy likely stems from a matter of miscommunication. Jackson also said that her son Elijah, 9, is bullied regularly because of surgical scars on his chest. The taunts, she said, have lead Elijah to talk about suicide. Jackson worries greatly that bullying early on in life can adversely affect that person for the rest of his or her life. She thinks that adults need to take a more active role in having open discussions with children about these issues. “Talk with the kids,” Jackson said. “Let them know people’s bodies are changing, everybody is different, but God made us all great.”
SOURCE
I'll be the judge of that. Lets see 'em. (User was banned for this post ("creep/dumb joke" - Orkel))
Harassed for large breasts? Is this how Missouri usually works?
I'll be the judge of that. Lets see 'em.
that's pretty creepy mate
the girl should undergo surgery if she wants to stop being bullied.
"if she didn't want to be bullied she shouldn't have had breasts" somehow it's not the fault of the bullies for bullying! nice logic there
Why would you be harassed for having large breasts? Maybe they need to grow up.
I'll be the judge of that. Lets see 'em.
Bro, shes 13.
The school has absolutely no right to say anything like that to a child. Someone should get fucking fired.
Bro, shes 13.
Your point?
Harassed for large breasts? Is this how Missouri usually works?
Could be sexual harassment, though the article seems to suggest otherwise. Might be by other girls, or it could be that she has issues as a result of their size which put her in awkward situations.
I don't understand. Why would anyone bully some one for having big breasts? Aren't those sort of, you know, a desirable trait amongst most cultures?
Not to be weird, but, well I guess there's no way to escape that branding, but I kinda wanna see what it looks like for a tiny body to have dangerously large breasts.
What's exactly the issue here? (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the OP" - MaxOfS2D))
why is she 13 and in sixth grade when you are 13 you're in the 8th grade
instead of addressing the bullies they address the bullied and say ,if you don't want to be bullied why don't you change yourself? thats a little fucked up
Your point?
The point is she's underage???
I don't understand. Why would anyone bully some one for having big breasts? Aren't those sort of, you know, a desirable trait amongst most cultures?
Why do bullies do anything? [editline]21st January 2013[/editline]
why is she 13 and in sixth grade when you are 13 you're in the 8th grade
I was 13 in the sixth grade. Well, twelve at the beginning, 13 at the end.
Kind of like my girlfriend's sister... She's about as short as I am and I'm only 5'9'' and her tits are HUGE and she's only 16. She has a very small figure too. She looks kind of like a white, moderately disfigured Nicki Minaj.
I don't understand. Why anyone bully some one for having big breasts? Aren't those sort of, you know, a desirable trait amongst most cultures?
Well, in ancient Greece the ideal was small breasts. Large breasts were viewed as comical and ridiculous. Unless I'm mistaken, small breasts were preferred in 1920's America too, whole "flapper" look and everything.
I don't understand. Why anyone bully some one for having big breasts?
Teenagers will mock other teenagers for absolutely everything, generally.
Aren't those sort of, you know, a desirable trait amongst most cultures?
That's not really the case — though you could argue western socities are really obsessed about boobs
Teenagers will mock other teenagers for absolutely everything, generally.
I made a 29 on my ACT my junior year of highschool and got called a faggot for it. Yep, sounds about right.
moderately disfigured Nicki Minaj.
redundant
What's exactly the issue here?
I'm not any sort of feminist, but I think it's the responsibility of the person to decide what they can and cannot do with their body.
why is she 13 and in sixth grade when you are 13 you're in the 8th grade
Depends on the state you live in. She may have been held back a year in a state where they start school a year later than where you're from.
A breast reduction surgery is a completely, absolutely, total last resort, goddamn.

I know it's not a consistent thing across the world / throughout history.
Typical school. Passing the blame of bullying off onto the student rather than growing a pair of balls and actually dealing with it themselves. This situation is textbook.
But stand up for yourself, and you get suspended/expelled. BUT NO BULLYING ISN'T AN ISSUE HERE, NOPENOPENOPE.
I'm not any sort of feminist, but I think it's the responsibility of the person to decide what they can and cannot do with their body.
And what does this have to do in reference to the girl in the OP being bullied by something she can't control without artificial means?
And what does this have to do in reference to the girl in the OP being bullied by something she can't control without artificial means?
I thought he already read the article and I'm giving him other reasons.
why is she 13 and in sixth grade when you are 13 you're in the 8th grade
No you aren't?
No you aren't?
That's how it worked for me
