the mixdown sounds quite muddy, the bass seems to be conflicting with itself at places and the absence of any highs in the track makes it quite dull
i like padwork and percussion though it makes it quite unique, and the way the track changes adds a bit of interest to the composition (unlike most ambient i see on fp, where its the same pad for an hour)

I've tried brightening up the track a little bit as you suggested,
and also changed things up towards the end a little.
though the intention is to generate an impression of depth.
Also, could you specify at which places the bass seems to conflict with itself.
