Europe feels a lot better than North America for me.

I've been living in Russia for 12 years and I always noticed that people are assholes on the outside but are nice on the inside. All you have to do is earn their trust and friendship and you will bond for life.
In Canada however, and America for that matter, I find that people are a lot more materialistic. Everyone pretends to be nice but the minute you're on the ground they forget about you.
I feel like the people here are just worse. People are also a lot more unacceptive and elitist - "Damn immigrants get outta my country!"
I know a lot of you will say "go back to your country your ungrateful cunt" but the problem does not lie with me, it is the problem with this country that needs fixing.
I've been to America (northern part, south of Canada's borders) too and its slightly better than here in Canada (I've been in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, they're all equally shitty, except Montreal perhaps) but it still sucks quite a bit.
There is something different about the people here, they just do less fun things, and I feel like Europe is a lot better.
I know this is a largely UK predominated forum and perhaps people will be biased, but hear me out. I've lived in both countries for a considerable amount of time, and the difference is obvious.
This is a very broad generalization governed only by your single experiences
Try moving to the deep south of the U.S. The people here tend to think foreigners are awesome, even though there are the occasional elitist turds.
No matter where you go, there's bound to be an asshole being a dickhead about what you are rather than who.

You know I'm not alone when I say this.
I've gone to 3 schools in 3 different cities and there were considerable amount of immigrants there and they all agreed with me at least partially about the people.
I'm not alone when I say this - believe me.
America has a lot of batshit insanity that seperates it from the other developed countries of the world. Like not having universal healthcare, not having a major social democratic party, not using the metric system, and still using the death penalty.

Well that's because there isn't anything in Russia to be materialistic over
Rate zing
Grass is always greener on the other side.
I find Americans WAY nicer. (Well, ones off the internet at least).
Also, I'm Scottish and they seem to like people from Scotland.

Yeah, but we play interesting sports here.
By the way OP, I don't know who you are running into. Unless you are Hispanic (then people will just ignore you), Americans are really interested in foreigners. Do you have a thick, manly Russian accent?
Most canadians I've met are actually alot nicer than other people, this is why I have become to love Canada and I do want to move there in the future. I live in Sweden atm.
You can't generalize the entire population of North America solely by the small amount of people you met.

Kinda cool, eh?
Yep!
I went to England and Italy and I can say that America is wayyyy cleaner, but people are really nice to Americans. I would say they're about equal but I like America's gun laws better.

Where in America have you gone? If you go to the poor, stupid places in the south you have to expect it but in the "northern" states people love immigrants. As long as you like America and Americans and come open and willing to accept what they have as a culture they will like you.

We think your accent is charming.

Because Scots tend not to be very "We're the best" kind of type in my humble opinion.
Everyones mad in the south because immigrants took there JOBS.
ITT: Jealousy.
Not thread worthy, it's obvious to anyone intelligent that Europe is better than the states.

Halifax is nice. :frown:
Europe fails in comparison to the states. Bunch of gun fearing Socialist faggots who think USA is a bunch of rednecks.
:patriot:
America is #1, disagree then come say it to my face Ive got guns and all youve got is a bunch of white flags.

I think that's a quick conclusion, Europe has a lot of countries, some are more people friendlier than others.

Is this supposed to be ironic
We're all uptight dicks in Britain.
No really, if you started a random conversation with me say in a queue; I'd think you're crazy.
