Practice! Anyone can pretty much do anything so long as they put the work in.
I taught myself guitar on a cheap £15 classical and just practiced until I got good.

It might be on autofocus to the center of the shot, and the center moves slightly between the boy and the pillar and the background. That or yeah, he is refocusing. Either way it's never really bothered me.

Given the number of "child prodigies" around I'd say he just did the same as any other kid that is good at an instrument and learned to play it.
Dude those are top-difficulty tier pieces, he's no ordinary piano player.
From my experience with youtube you need to be a savant to film like this, too.
I have public piano really near me, some of the people who play it are actually pretty good.
Being someone who's been playing the piano for... maybe 4-5 years now... I'm not even close to half of what he's doing.
He must practice every day for at least, AT LEAST 4-5 hours. Just having that memorized is amazing.
Bah, if I spent just as much time playing the piano then I did playing games... I feel like I could have gotten close to this.
