In 2006, I uploaded a video that I captured from Metal Gear Solid 2. It was that awesome part that gave us all chills where Snake and Otacon did that awesome handshake and then hugged eachother in a manly manner, with that faggot Raiden staring in awe wishing he could get a piece of Snake.
Anyway, after a few months I just forgot my logon info for that account and I couldn't be assed to get my password resent, so I just made a new account and ran with that up until a few months ago (I forgot the password, again. And it just so happens I also forgot the password to the e-mail I used to make it. Fun.)
So I logged in to my main e-mail, and see a message for becoming Youtube partner because that video has "become popular on Youtube."
I don't know if I should even bother looking into it. I mean, fuck. The video itself is copyrighted by Konami for God's sake. I can't make revenue off of that. Unless I want to get sued. What would you do, Facepunch?
Here's the video if anyone is curious.

Edit: And because I knew you'd ask, here's the e-mail.

Deja vu anyone..?
didnt uberslug do this
Do it.
Konami can't touch you. The video can be taken down by a copyright claim but the money is yours.
Do it.
money? Go for it.
Money? GO FOR IT!
You're going to make money out of an account you haven't used in half a year. And don't remember the password to?
Go for it.

Well after seeing that message I got off of my ass and decided to get my password info resent. :v:
I'm aiming in the long term to get a YouTube partnership (I'm very interested in starting to make short films.)
This is just earning revenue off a popular YouTube video, you don't get a banner or and of that good shit, my friend was offered this as well.
You have to admit. That was a fucking cool handshake
Too true. It always gives me chills.
I decided to do it. But I want to tell my friend before I accept the offer. Time to put on my :smug: face.
Edit: Oh dammit. :saddowns:
Guidelines on videos you can submit for revenue sharing
