THREAD MUSIC I thought i would make this thread because i want to give and take advice from people who are like me and have a seeing disability, Feel free to ask a question about glasses or complain about your problems, if i see something that's helpful ill put it below Q&A: Q:I cant see shit what the fuck A:Go to the eye doctor. Q:I get frequent headaches and i think it is because of my glasses, any advice? A:Go to the eye doctor because your prescription is probably outdated EDIT:Spelling error Q:
I want to try contacts, how do I start and what kind should I get? I'm also legally blind without glasses.
A:When i got my contacts, I went to the eye doctor and scheduled an appointment for a contact lens exam. The exam is to find out if you are eligible for contacts (most likely you will be) they will then teach you how to put them on and take them off and give you a trial pair with a schedule on when to put them on, if anything occurs during this trial you should tell them about it because usually they can fix it. So, yeah.
im blind af w/out glasses
I'm so dumb with my glasses
Lazy eye, who has it? I was the most badass first grader/pirate with my eye patch.
I have glaucoma, nearsightedness, and astigmatism.
~~~armani frames~~~~
I wear my contacts for like 3 days straight although there one-a-days and I'm pretty sure my eye side has gone to shit since.
I wear my contacts for like 3 days straight although there one-a-days and I'm pretty sure my eye side has gone to shit since.
I did the same once by accident, it ruined my sight for about a month then it fixed itself out of no where. I now take them out everynight
I did the same once by accident, it ruined my sight for about a month then it fixed itself out of no where. I now take them out everynight
Thank god I thought I was gonna go blind or something.
I did the same once by accident, it ruined my sight for about a month then it fixed itself out of no where. I dated a girl who left her contacts in for literally months at a time, her cornea was so damaged she had to wear regular glasses for 2 years while they healed.
one of the best feelings in the world (for near sighted people i guess) is putting on your glasses and seeing all the details in leaves, etc something you people with perfect eyesight will never experience
one of the best feelings in the world (for near sighted people i guess) is putting on your glasses and seeing all the details in leaves, etc something you people with perfect eyesight will never experience
i put my glasses on for the first time in the 7th grade after going my entire life with absolute shit vision. my mind was blown.
one of the best feelings in the world (for near sighted people i guess) is putting on your glasses and seeing all the details in leaves, etc something you people with perfect eyesight will never experience
I get to experience this every time I get a new prescription which is about once a year. It's pretty magical until I remember that my vision is deteriorating so badly that I need a new prescription every year.
contacts here -1.75 and -1.50
-0.75, -0.75 with a little bit of cylindrical in the right eye (+0.25, axis 90) I just got new glasses off of coastal.com with the same prescription and everything as my normal frames, and they really feel different, and I'm not sure if I'm not used to the shape of the lenses yet or what. Anyone experienced this before?
first thing i noticed were the trees i suddenly realized why all my teachers said my drawings of trees were shit
nobody had ever told me that people can see individual leaves as opposed to one big green blur. it boggled my fucking mind.
What are your guys' prescriptions? I'm -8.50, -8.25. I'm surprised the make glasses for me. :v:
Lazy eye, who has it? I was the most badass first grader/pirate with my eye patch.
I used to be terrified of eyepatches until they started offering me stickers to decorate them. Don't really wear my glasses much anymore, my pescription has barely changed in 4 years, I mainly wear them when I'm reading for long periods because I'm far sighted so concentrating on details close up is hard work sometimes. It's a pain having one decent eye - 3D doesn't work, depth perception is terrible, anything requiring my right eye to read (Glass :c ) isn't compatible, if I hurt my good eye I'm in a mess. Anybody else ever felt like they were wearing their glasses when they weren't? I've poked myself in the eyes trying to push up non-exsistant glasses several times.
nobody had ever told me that people can see individual leaves as opposed to one big green blur. it boggled my fucking mind.
yeah, basically this. i was like holy fuck the world is so clear and crisp how
What are your guys' prescriptions? I'm -8.50, -8.25. I'm surprised the make glasses for me. :v:
Jesus christ i thought I was bad at -4.5 ish. Do they charge extra for you?
is oakleys the way to go for prescription sunglasses?
Jesus christ i thought I was bad at -4.5 ish. Do they charge extra for you?
I'm not entirely sure. I just remember that my last pair of lenses ended up costing around $400. I think the frames were around $130 or something. I did, however, get a special type of lens that can take the thickness out of the lenses. My eyes just still look smaller, though. :v: They also make contacts in my prescription but my eyes dry out a lot.
does anyone here have heavy frames that leave red marks on their nose? I've been wearing them like this for like, a year. It can get really uncomfortable if I'm wearing them for a couple of hours straight, I need to get frames.
When I first was given glasses, my left eye was 20/400. Now its about 20/70, so not fantastic, but its better. I tried contacts but the left one was soo thick because of astigmatism it wasn't worth it.
yeah, basically this. i was like holy fuck the world is so clear and crisp how
When I got my current pair of glasses I'd been on the old ones for about 2-3 years (I usually get new ones every year) and when I put them on I could tell the color of someones jacket at the end of the street, across a bridge and past like 4 intersections. I felt a bit like superman. Then I got a headache and had to switch back for the rest of the day.
My dad gets red skin under his glasses because whatever plasticy stuff they use he is allergic too. I stabbed myself in the eye a few minutes ago trying to push up the glasses I wasn't wearing.
my whole family wear glasses apart from me, the amount of time I spend on a computer must have strained them / fucked them up. I dont have any issues close or far distance reading etc. I just dont want to go in and have that fat smug bitch tell me that I need to get glasses.
I should wear glasses and they would look awesome on my but doctors don't agree. Heh.
left eye is -0.75 and right is -0.50 for my contacts
