This corner of Facepunch deserves its own holiday threads too, right? So post all things relating to Halloween here, from costumes, to parties, to cool shit people on your street have done.
I'm dressing up in my airsoft gear like always this year :sigh:
I stopped dressing up for Halloween years ago.
I still dress up and go out, I just don't trick or treat.
Last year some preppy-ass kids were talking shit about us or something, because we actually dressed up for Halloween. (albeit half-ass'd costumes; I wore camouflage, most of my other friends just put on a hat) So my friend (who dressed as a wizard) threw me his "staff", I taped a bunch of bottle rockets and roman candles to it, lit the fuse, and threw it back at him. He pointed it at the preps (while yelling some made-up incantations) as the fireworks went off.

That's actually pretty cool.
One of my friends always says he's going to hide on his lawn with his ghillie suit and scare little kids but he never does.
Yeah, a lot of kids are saying that now, for some reason.
Maybe because of the ghillie suit fetish that came from Call of Duty 4.
Wearing my A.S. Army loadout. Godbless the Allied States of America.
I was invited to a party, not sure if I'll go or not but probably. I'm going to dress up regardless, even if it means going trick or treating.
I'd love to go to a Halloween game, but I don't exactly have the means to get to the closest CQB field.
I think I'm just going to get a gas mask and greet the door with my Nerf battle axe.
I was going to make a Talon Combat Armor costume from Fallout 3, but I got busy after the summer and I'm jeft with cardboard armor pieces, unpainted. I might end up fiberglassing them eventually and paint them for next year and just wear my camo and chest rig or something.
Usually if I have to give out candy I just make carmel covered onions and hand them out to the kids.

I once made a Riley's Rangers loadout and then sold it at a game. Twas so worth that $60.
So far I haven't spent any money, any ideas on the pouches and clothing portion for it? I have the armor plating down, I just need to figure out the rest.

The helmet is pretty much a Mich helmet. The pants and t-shirt are grey and of no particular interest. The boots are black boots of no interest. Soccer shin guards and kneepads painted flat black should work for the leg plates. I have no clue about the waist. Two black web belts and some ALICE pouches should work for the portion above it though. The chest and shoulders can be football pads if your super cheap, or you can make your own out of sheet metal and bullshit.
I have two sets of shingaurds from soccer, one for forearms if i need it, I have a chestplate of cardboard, a partial backplate of cardboard and some unattached shoulderpads. I think the only things i'll have to buy are the belts and the helmet if i can find it cheap. I already repainted an airsoft gun to look like the R91 assault rifle from the game as well, you might be able to find the thread in the GGD forum.
I wanted to get a the nun costume that was worn in The Town, but I wouldn't be able to bring my gun with me if I were to go out so I decided against it.

Why couldn't you bring your gun?

Bringing my gun to school probably wouldn't be a great idea.

Well you didn't mention school.
Well you didn't mention school.
I would probably just wear a costume to school, but bringing a realistic looking AKS-74un out in public probably wouldn't be a good idea anyway, especially since I live in Canada.
I should find a Army of darkness type chainsaw hand and a shotgun from somewhere

Hail to the king, baby.
This is the gun I was talking about earlier for my Fallout 3 costume, I have more pictures for you guys if you want more, I also removed a little bit of the rust brown/grime from it and added more scratches since I took the picture.

I have some pre-lighter colored stock with a much darker brown stock too. (Think flat camo brown)

The gun used to be completely flat black, and it is a spring rifle, it was also my first airsoft gun.
Where I bought it:http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/WellFire_Airsoft_Ultra_Elite_D33_Tactical_Rifle_p/wf-mr777.htm
Unfortunately, my brother dropped it and broke some pieces including the extended plastic barrel, unfortunately, on it, but I still have the grip and scope. It was worth the money in my opinion for the accessories and this project, even though at the time of the purchase I didn't even think of this project. Also: I know the brown looks unevenly spread out on the rifle, that's where the tape was on the ends of it, I fixed it though, so it's all good.
Holy shit that thing used to be horrid.
Now it's awwrite.
Looks pretty nice. Good job on it.
Thanks, Some people are like "hurp durp, it took you fifteen minutes" it actually took me upwards of four hours to get it right on the paint.
What else are you wearing for your Fallout 3 costume? That would be cool if you got a blue jumpsuit and got "Vault 101" printed on the back or something.
I actually thought of that as a backup costume, I might do it this year, it just depends on if I can find a jumpsuit, but it's definitely very possible for me. I also almost tried to take an old broken Spring 1911 pistol and convert it into a 10mm pistol with cardboard but I got lazy and worked on the armor.

So far, I have also made a buffout prop and i'm planning to make caps and Nuka Cola.

Sweet, first page of google, mostly with pictures of it with the dark wood.

My friend actually got his before he played CoD4. He got it because of the original Ghost Recon I think.
