I listen to music on my laptop at 15% volume, and I had to put my volume to 100% to even be able to listen to you. It was still super low volume too. Just get an external mic to record it next time.

Actually that's true. You buy open-air headphones fully knowing they leak sound because that's part of the design. Complaining that cars don't fly because they were specifically designed to stay on the ground is not a legitimate complaint. Same with these headphones. If they were closed and leaked sound that would be legitimate.
