Have you been to the Faroe Islands? You should definitely go to the Faroe Islands...

Spent 10 days there at the end of August and condensed it into this 2 minute film, I would love it if you checked it out. This place is so accessible from the UK, and it's INCREDIBLE.

Beautiful. What a shame the weather didn't offer some more sun for the filmed scenes.
Thanks! Man the fact that we got ANY sun is a miracle! We got very very lucky with he weather overall, it only rained for 2 days out of 10. We had maybe 3 or 4 with good sunshine, and the rest were cloudy but moody.
Wow. Are you a professional?

To be honest I don't think so, but I'm sure the people I do work for think I am... people underestimate how much time I spend in my pajamas editing GoPro videos.
I've been fully freelance since January and haven't starved to death yet. I still feel like a newbie, but I've been interested in this kind of work for about 2-3 years and it is starting to pick up a lot.
I wasn't paid for this video, or my previous Iceland & Kalymnos one. But they usually do end up getting me some work as they've all gotten pretty popular.
My background is in animation, never had any formal photography or film training, so it's all still a learning process.

With the remarkable quality of this film I'm sure you could get work in the tourism industry. You could probably get paid to travel from place to place making promotional videos for vacation spots. That'd be ideal.
Great job!

In my experience a lot of professionals think like this, whether they are artist, athletes, photographers, anything. What matters is the end result, and yours look bloody fantastic. Keep up the good work!
I already wanted to go to the Faroe Islands so badly and this doesn't help.
Really nice video. I've been thinking for a while about going to Iceland, Færøerne or maybe even Greenland. Also the Faroe islands are kinda a part of Denmark, so please all go and spend your hard earned money there.
My old university lecturer is one of the leading researchers on Faroese. I'll be honest and say that I didn't actually know anything about any of the islands before meeting her.

I didn't know much at all before I went, I find it's a good way to travel... keeps it new and exciting!
I met a bunch of fisherman from the Faroe Islands in a karaoke bar in Reykjavik at 2 in the morning. They were all completely hammered on coolers to the point of falling over. Then they went and sang a bunch of American country music while doing all kinds of square dancing stuff. My friend who was drunk asked them where they were from and they said Faroe Islands, but he misheard them and all excitedly asked, "YOU'RE FROM THE FAR AWAY LANDS?!" That is my experience with the Faroe Islands. I really want to go there.
