Well, yes, they was faggy back when third album Black Parade came out. And yes, majority of fans are self labeling faggots. But looks at their Three Cheers album and 2007-2009 performances, they have changed alot. And from 2009 live performances of demo songs from new album, I can tell that new album is not going to be anything like Black Parade.

Their lyrics are unintentionally hilarious melodramatic bullshit, their vocalist is an unintentionally hilarious melodramatic twat, the guitarwork is pretty much the definition of utter mediocrity and they ultimately come out looking like an utter joke only angsty teens take seriously.
And yeah, Vanilla Ice tried clearing his name in the late 90s by releasing a nu-metal album, which in turn only made him an even bigger laughing stock than he already was, and I'm pretty sure the same is going to happen to MCR.

Okay I lied, I enjoy their live music way over listening to the versions on CD.
And some Black Parade songs is really good, only things I didn't like about it is faggot live performances and style

I'm a massive fan of Stevie Wonder, however before he had artistic freedom i didn't think was musically great.
But i still have massive respect for his career.
Thats all my point was.
I really don't like the people who said MCR's 'The Black Parade' was emo.
It is somewhat scene-ish (for the time.(when everyone was uberl33t emofags)) but it is nothing compared to say, Hawthorne Heights.

Yeah the atmosphere seems to make the music so much better, like on Mama from The Black Parade Is Dead! it just makes you wish you were there in mexico :h:
But Black Parade WAS a bad album (at least in my opinion). I don't have to like it in order to think that they're an alright band. I don't LOVE the band, and I barely actually listen to them, but the first two albums were good.

I like MCR and to each their own, I don't see what the big deal is, if you find them "faggy" don't listen to them. Its not like they are all over the radio or being shoved down your throats in any way.
I actually liked The Black Parade, had some good songs, like Dead and Yesterday.
Huge fan of their first album. People only think they're 'faggy' because of the enormous scene kid following they've ended up with.
