To me Wonder Woman just seems really terrible, even without the weakness to having her hands were bound by a man.

While I couldn't give a damn about this movie, I am absolutely terrified that it might be worse than Schumacher.

Pretty much all classic comic characters and stories are terrifically awkward. Things get rebooted every few years, though. The modern Wonder Woman is pretty cool. Flashpoint Paradox Wonder Woman and the Amazons were actually kind of a badass. Actually, that whole movie was badass.

I've always thought of Wonder Woman as rather handsome and statuesque. That said, once's she's bulked up a bit and in costume and makeup she might look the part.

The guy who actually came up with Wonder Woman, William Moulton Marston, was in fact a rope-bondage fetishist.

Well, I never saw Sucker Punch (looks terrible, though), but I actually liked Watchmen quite a lot. Never read the comic, but as a standalone film it was pretty good in my opinion.
