Wow, man i feel sorry for you. I got 99 problems and that ain't one. My problem was that my bro got me a ps3 and 8 games for it, but it doesn't work, so he's getting it replaced soon :frown: I hope that recovery disk fixes it :sympathy:
Why did you break your dad's computer?
My problem was that my bro got me a ps3 and 8 games for it, but it doesn't work, so he's getting it replaced soon :frown:
I don't see how getting a PS3 and 8 games can be seen as a problem, if you can get it replaced.
Good luck
I don't see how getting a PS3 and 8 games can be seen as a problem, if you can get it replaced.
I dunno :downs: But again, i hope that disk fixes it.
Hopefully this reiterates why you should always back up and check what you download. Regardless, I'm sorry to hear Christmas Day sucked for you. Hope things work out.
my PC just went off and all the system32 files went corrupt, I just slapped in the setup disk and backed up the files (thank god), I hope all is well for your PC.
From the sound of it this would have happened regardless of your installation of the software. I don't see how any of that software could have fucked over the OS that badly.
Good luck
I love your avatar
After some speculation we're thinking the hard drive bit the dust. Even after switching the CD drive and hard drive around on wiring, the hard drive still isn't detected in the BIOS. And Google searches lead me to getting no real answers, other than "get a recovery disk."
did he drop any good loot?
merry christmas to you too
Blame a virus.
My Xbox broke today, after my Mum and Dad took the time to look for some games i'd actually enjoy. Shit sucks and i hope your dad's computer get's fixed.

If the HDD has died then there's no way it can be your fault. The harddrive wouldn't function any differently if you installed the right MP3-player drivers; it's still going to read and write in the same way, regardless of what it's reading or writing.
My problem is my bro dropped my PS3 on it's back, and broke it, rendering my new games useless.
This is why I don't let people use my computer... Well, that and the tons of porn.
Well on the subject of shity ass Christmases I got a ipod video because it's cheap and I wanted to get rockbox on it. I open it up and BAM the fucking screen is broken FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Ouch that sucks man, hope you get your dad's pc fixed soon.

Yeah, i've had this situation too. Now my laptop = poof :sigh:
boot into linux see what you can do [editline]03:06AM[/editline] or boot into linux a burn your own recovery disk [editline]03:06AM[/editline] hopefully you have a linux distro lying around
Poor you
How the hell did that happen? You did nothing that could've triggered a hard-drive failure.

He just so happen to be there when it decided to go.
i accidently wiped my friend's computer with all important essays stored on it. Scariest moment of my life.
I always keep a win XP disc in my backpack. Even in high school I had one, never knew what was going to happen.
I was given a BSOD, and then when the computer booted back up, I was prompted to insert a setup disk.
I don't understand why you didn't even attempt to troubleshoot this. Boot to your Windows disk, and use the repair function. If you're still having HDD troubles, try a different SATA cable and port.
